How to Make Iron Ingots in Pokopia

How to Make Iron Ingots in Pokopia

Iron ingots are essential materials in Pokopia if you want to craft advanced items like rail tracks. This guide will walk you through the complete process of obtaining iron ore and converting it into usable iron ingots, from mining to smelting.

Understanding Iron Ingots and Their Uses

Iron ingots are a crucial crafting material in Pokopia. If you’re planning to build structures like rail tracks or other metal-based items, you’ll need a steady supply of iron ingots. The process involves two main steps: mining iron ore and then smelting it into ingots.

Where to Find Iron Ore

Mining in Rocky Bridges and Fire Poke

One primary location to find iron ore is in the mines located at Rocky Bridges and Fire Poke. To access these mines, you’ll need Torcole, a Fire-type Pokémon that works exceptionally well for this task. Before you can proceed, you must have completed the necessary questing to unlock your Cut ability, which allows you to break through metal fences blocking your path into the mines.

Head down into the mines with Torcole accompanying you. You’ll encounter metal fences along the way—use your Cut ability to get through them and continue deeper into the mine where iron ore can be found.

Farming Iron at Bleak Beach

An easier alternative to mine grinding is farming iron at Bleak Beach. Unlike the mines, you don’t need upgraded abilities to collect iron from this location. You’ll find iron bits scattered around the beach area that you can break using Rock Smash without needing to upgrade your abilities first. Simply bring a Fire-type Pokémon to this area and collect the available iron ore.

Smelting Iron Ore into Iron Ingots

Using the Furnace

Once you’ve collected your iron ore—whether you have 19 pieces or more—you’ll need to smelt them into iron ingots. Travel to the furnace location in the mines. Place your iron ore into the furnace to begin the smelting process.

The Smelting Process

After placing your iron ore in the furnace, bring your Pokémon (like Torcole) to interact with it. Torcole will then use the furnace to convert your iron ore into iron ingots. This process is straightforward—load the ore, let your Pokémon work the furnace, and collect your newly crafted iron ingots.

Summary

Making iron ingots in Pokopia is a two-step process: first, gather iron ore either from the mines at Rocky Bridges and Fire Poke (using Torcole and your Cut ability) or from the easier Bleak Beach location using Rock Smash. Second, bring your ore to a furnace and use a Pokémon like Torcole to smelt it into usable iron ingots. With this method, you’ll have a reliable supply of iron ingots for all your crafting needs.
