Time to Party Quest Guide in Pokopia

Time to Party Quest Guide in Pokopia

The “Time to Party” quest is one of the main objectives you’ll encounter in Rocky Ridge within Pokopia. This comprehensive guide will walk you through every step needed to complete this multi-stage quest, from gathering ingredients to hosting the ultimate party celebration. If you’re looking to boost your rank and unlock new areas, this quest is essential.

Starting the Quest: Speaking with the Chef

Begin by talking to the chef in Rocky Ridge. He will give you a cooking pot and ask you to clear away some ash before placing it down. While clearing the ash may not be strictly necessary, it’s a good idea to clear a small area to ensure proper placement of your cooking pot.

Once you’ve placed down the cooking pot, talk to the chef again. He’ll inform you that the current mood level is around 41, and you need to increase it to 100 to progress with the quest.

Increasing the Mood Level to 100

Placing Decorations

The primary way to increase mood is by placing decoration items around the party area. Placing 20 bunting decorations can raise your mood from 41 to approximately 76. Other decoration options include reefs, frames, lamps, and balloons—all of which contribute to improving the overall mood.

Using the Boom Box and CDs for Hype Pokemon

Another effective method to boost mood is by using music. If you find any CDs around Rocky Ridge (which typically look like yellow Pokéballs), you can place them into a boom box Pokémon. Once the music starts playing, any hype Pokémon nearby will begin dancing, which significantly increases the mood.

When placing a CD in the boom box, hype Pokémon like certain species will respond by dancing. For example, you can use the Suitopolis City music CD to trigger dance performances from eligible Pokémon.

Finding and Displaying Lost Relics

The professor will tell you that he needs a large lost relic to significantly boost mood. Lost relics are found by searching sparkly patches of ground that appear yellow throughout Rocky Ridge. These collectibles are randomized, so you may need to search multiple areas to find a large lost relic.

When you locate a large lost relic, place it down as a decoration item. You can also place a cutout board (another relic) or use balloons as alternatives for mood enhancement.

Preparing Party Platters

Chef Dente will ask you to prepare five dishes for the party and place them on party platters. Serving food on party platters is a final mood-boosting activity. To create party platters, you’ll need to gather:

Five iron ingots

Various food items (any vegetables will work)

You can make hamburgers or salads using a cooking skillet. Remember to bring a grow Pokémon with you when gathering ingredients—if you walk away and return to the same area, items will regrow, making ingredient collection easier.

Gathering Cooking Ingredients

Before you can cook at the cooking pot, you need to inspect it and gather the following ingredients:

15 Leper Berries

15 Wheat

15 Beans

5 Honey

You’ll also need to invite Pokémon to help with the cooking. When gathering ingredients, bring a grow Pokémon to help collect items more efficiently. If you’re struggling to obtain enough of certain ingredients, you can walk away from an area and return—the items will have regrown.

Cooking the Party Curry

Once you’ve gathered all your ingredients and placed the party platters, return to Chef Dente at the cooking pot. He will ask you to inspect the cooking pot and start cooking the party curry. The cooking process will take approximately 7 minutes of in-game time (it will be ready at 8:45 a.m.).

Completing the Quest and Unlocking New Content

After the party curry finishes cooking, speak with the professor to complete the final objective. Upon completion, a volcanic eruption will occur in Pokopia—this is a normal part of the quest progression. You can either bridge over the volcanic area or take the longer route around it.

Completing the “Time to Party” quest will upgrade your trainer rank to Ultra, which unlocks access to the Skylands (or similar new areas). You’ll also be treated to a spectacular fireworks display to celebrate your achievement.

Summary

The “Time to Party” quest is one of the more involved quests in Pokopia, requiring you to balance multiple objectives: increasing mood through decorations and music, gathering ingredients, preparing party platters, and finally cooking the party curry. By following these steps systematically, you’ll successfully complete this quest and unlock exciting new content for your adventure. Remember to take your time gathering materials and don’t hesitate to revisit areas for respawned resources.
