A Very Scottish Celebration Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

A Very Scottish Celebration Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

This comprehensive quest guide covers “A Very Scottish Celebration,” Merida’s Level 10 friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Follow along step-by-step as we complete this Scottish-themed celebration quest, gathering supplies, crafting items, and unlocking a special Scottish outfit reward.

Starting the Quest with Merida

Begin by talking to Merida to initiate this level 10 friendship quest. She wants to throw a very Scottish celebration, and you’ll help her make it happen.

Gathering Banquet Supplies from Scrooge McDuck

Your first task is to speak with Scrooge McDuck about supplies for Merida’s Scottish banquet. You’ll typically find him in the Bind, where his store is located. He’ll generously provide you with everything needed for the celebration—which is notably unusual for Scrooge.

Placing the Clan Banners

After receiving the supplies from Scrooge McDuck, you’ll need to place the Clan Dunbrock banners in Storibuk Vlael. You can optionally place the Clan McDuck banners as well. Access your furniture requests menu to find and place the Clan Dunborra banners in the designated area.

Delivering Supplies to Merida

Once the banners are placed, bring the Scots banquet supplies directly to Merida. She’ll provide you with important information about the next steps of the quest.

Obtaining the Salt-Baked Sea Wolf Recipe

Tiana will send you the Salt-baked sea wolf recipe via mail. Check your mailbox—remember, you have a house in Storibuk Vlael. Claim Merida’s recipe from your mail, then access your inventory to unlock the recipe for cooking.

Gathering Ingredients for the Recipe

Finding Sea Wolves

You’ll need three sea wolves to complete this quest. Sea wolves can be fished in white ripples throughout the Bind and other areas of Storibuk Vlael. The easiest location to find them is in the white ripples of the Bind.

Collecting Salt Crystals

You’ll also need three salt crystals. To obtain these, travel to the Ever After—the purple-colored area on the left side of the map. Fish in the open water outside of ripples anywhere in the Ever After. Salt crystals appear fairly commonly when fishing in this method.

Cooking the Salt-Baked Sea Wolf

Once you have all your ingredients (three sea wolves and three salt crystals), head to the cooking pot near your house in Storibuk Vlael. Select the Salt-baked sea wolf recipe and cook three of them. Make sure you have enough ingredients before starting.

Setting Up the Banquet

Deliver the three salt-baked sea wolves to Merida. She’ll give you a cute party area setup. Access your furniture requests, find the Scots banquet set up, and place it in the valley where you’d like the celebration to happen.

Completing the Party and Meeting the Lorkeepa

After setting up the banquet, enjoy the party! Once the celebration is underway, talk to Merida again. You can also speak with Scrooge McDuck if you wish, though it’s optional. Next, you’ll need to talk to the Lorkeepa—a sentient book character found in the library area.

The Lorkeepa’s Tapestry Quest

Gathering Materials for the Tapestry

The Lorkeepa will ask you to craft Merida’s Fate Tapestry. This requires three specific materials:

20 Petrified Wood

3 Topazes

10 Pine Cones

Finding Pine Cones

Pine cones are the easiest material to collect. You’ll find them scattered around the Bind, particularly beneath trees. They’re very common, so you shouldn’t have much trouble gathering the 10 needed.

Mining for Topazes

Topazes can be obtained by mining rocks in the Bind or back in mainland Disney Dreamlight Valley. You’ll find plenty of topazes by farming rocks in the Bind.

Obtaining Petrified Wood

There are two ways to get petrified wood. The first is by mining rocks in the Bind. The second—and quickest—method is to visit the library and mine the small woody stone or stony wood formations using your pickaxe. These will directly give you petrified wood.

Crafting and Gifting the Tapestry

Once you’ve gathered all materials (20 petrified wood, 3 topazes, and 10 pine cones), open your furniture menu and craft Merida’s Fate Tapestry using these items. Then, gift the completed tapestry to Merida on behalf of the Lorkeepa.

The Final Scene and Reward

After gifting the tapestry, Merida and the Lorkeepa will have a touching conversation about how proud they are of the celebration. Listen to their exchange, then talk to Merida one final time. She’ll reward you with a lovely Scottish outfit, completing the quest.

Quest Complete!

“A Very Scottish Celebration” is now complete! You’ve helped Merida throw an unforgettable Scottish-themed party and earned a special Scottish outfit as your reward. This quest showcases the game’s charming character interactions and reward-based gameplay that makes Disney Dreamlight Valley so enjoyable.
