How to Unlock Mirabel in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Finding the Golden Door Knob

The first step to unlocking Mirabel is locating the golden door knob. Head to the Meadow area of the village and search the ground carefully. Look for a shiny piece of grass with a small golden door knob sticking out of it. While the location can vary, it typically appears in multiple spots around the Meadow, so check thoroughly if you don’t find it immediately.

Once you spot the golden door knob, pick it up. This action will automatically start the Golden Door Knob quest.

Completing the Golden Door Knob Quest

Now that you’ve started the quest, you’ll need to complete several tasks to unlock Mirabel:

Step 1: Talk to Merlin

Visit Merlin and speak with him to begin the quest proper.

Step 2: Engage with Villagers

Complete the following villager interactions:

Have daily discussions with different villagers

Give two villagers their favourite gifts

Take pictures with three villagers

Step 3: Return to Merlin and Gather Dream Light

After completing your villager interactions, return to Merlin. You’ll also need to gather Dream Light during this phase.

Step 4: Talk to Merlin Again

Speak with Merlin a second time to progress further in the quest.

Placing Mirabel’s Mini Casita

The final step is placing Mirabel’s Mini Casita in the village. Despite its name, the Mini Casita is actually a massive house. Once you place this structure in your village, Mirabel will be officially unlocked and available as a character.
