Moana reveals that the Leader Shards work the same way—each one represents an act of leadership, and together they make you a true leader.

Moana asks you to build an honored place for the Leader Shards, as none currently exists on the island. She believes you deserve to be honored as a leader alongside her.

Materials Required

To complete this quest, you’ll need to gather the following materials:

10 Iron Ingots

50 Stone

3 Conches (found in the Moana Realm)

4 Leader Shards (given by Moana)

Step 1: Gather Stone

Your first task is to collect 50 Stone. Equip your pickaxe and mine the rocks scattered around your village. You can break either loose rocks on the ground or mine stone from walls throughout the island. Continue mining until you’ve gathered all 50 Stone needed for the Onward Place.

Step 2: Create Iron Ingots

Next, you’ll need to craft 10 Iron Ingots. To do this, you’ll need Iron Ore, which you can obtain by mining rocks around the island. The crafting recipe requires 5 Iron Ore and 1 Coal to create 1 Iron Ingot. Since you need 10 Iron Ingots, you’ll need to gather 50 Iron Ore and 10 Coal total.

Head to your crafting table and place your Iron Ore and Coal into the crafting interface. Craft all 10 Iron Ingots before moving to the next step.

Step 3: Find Three Conches in the Moana Realm

Now you need to find 3 Conches located in the Moana Realm. To access this realm, travel to the Disney Dreamlight Castle and enter through the central door on the bottom level. Once inside the Moana Realm, look for conch shells on the beach.

You’ll find one large red conch on the beach, another one hidden behind a nearby rock, and a third one near the beach entrance where you first arrive. Collect all three conches.

Step 4: Craft the Onward Place

With all materials gathered, return to your crafting table. Navigate to the Furniture section in the crafting requests table. You’ll find an item called the Onward Place. This monument requires:

3 Conches

50 Stone

10 Iron Ingots

Craft the Onward Place furniture item.

Step 5: Place the Onward Place

Once crafted, the Onward Place furniture will appear in your inventory. The monument is relatively small in size, making it easy to place in various locations. Take it to your house or garden and position it where you’d like it to remain. This will be the permanent location where your Leader Shards are displayed.

Step 6: Place Leader Shards and Complete the Quest

After placing the Onward Place, talk to Moana. She’ll remind you that one final task remains: placing the Leader Shards on the monument. Interact with the Onward Place and transfer all 4 Leader Shards onto it. You’ll see them stack beautifully on top of the monument.

Speak to Moana one final time to complete the quest. She’ll present you with your reward: the Tropical Flourish Gown, a special outfit to commemorate this meaningful moment.
