Fixing the Boat Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

In this quest guide, you’ll learn how to complete the Fixing the Boat quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You’ll discover a broken boat on Dazzle Beach and help Moana repair it by gathering the necessary materials and crafting specific items. Follow this step-by-step guide to unlock Moana’s fishing boat and unlock new progression in the game.

Finding the Boat on Dazzle Beach

Head to Dazzle Beach where you’ll find a broken boat that needs repair. Speak with Moana about fixing it to begin the quest.

Initial Materials Required

Moana will ask you for several items to start the repair process:

Pink Hydrangeas

You’ll need to collect three pink hydrangeas from Dazzle Beach. Be careful to only pick the pink ones, as purple hydrangeas look very similar but are not what you need.

Softwood

Gather 30 softwood by heading to the Plaza and the Meadow area. You’ll find softwood lying around on the ground in these locations.

Hardwood

Collect hardwood from the Glade of Trust. You may also find additional softwood in this area.

Obtaining Fiber

To get fiber, you’ll need to gather seaweed from Dazzle Beach. Pick up green seaweed wherever you find it on the beach, or catch it while fishing.

Crafting Seaweed into Fiber

Head to a crafting table (such as Goofy’s) and use the following recipes:

1 red algae = 5 seaweed

1 seaweed = 5 fiber

You’ll need to craft 55 fiber total, which requires 10 seaweed.

Second Set of Materials

After collecting the initial materials, the quest will automatically update. Moana will now request three additional items:

Rope

Craft 4 ropes at the crafting table.

Baskets

Create 3 baskets using the furniture crafting option. These require the pink hydrangeas and fiber that you’ve already collected.

Rustic Wooden Cases

Craft 3 rustic wooden cases at the crafting table.

Completing the Boat Repair

Once you’ve crafted all the required items, return to Moana at the boat on Dazzle Beach. Give her the baskets, rustic wooden cases, and rope. Moana will then repair the boat for you.

Unlocking Moana’s Fishing Boat

After the boat is fixed, you’ll unlock Moana’s fishing boat as a passive income feature. Moana will periodically sail out to sea and catch fish for you. Make sure to visit the fishing boat regularly to claim your catches. You can also upgrade the boat to increase its fishing efficiency.

Final Quest Step: The Strange Object

A strange object will appear near Moana’s boat after the repair is complete. Pick up the strange glowing shard and give it to Moana. She’ll promise to find information about the mysterious object.
