Obtaining Amaura from a Fossil

The first step in getting Amaura is acquiring a Sail Fossil. Head to the stone merchant in Porym and purchase a Sail Fossil for $20,000.

Trading Your Fossil at the Research Lab

Once you have the Sail Fossil, make your way to the Perkhamon Research Lab and head to the second floor. Locate Reg at the lab and speak with him.

When you talk to Reg, tell him “I’ve got a sail fossil.” He will accept the fossil from you and hand over Amaura in return.

Note: If this is your first time visiting Reg, the dialogue may differ slightly. He will initially ask you to go retrieve the stone before coming back. Additionally, on your first visit, Reg will also give you $20,000 to help cover the cost of purchasing the Sail Fossil.

Evolving Amaura into Aurorus

To evolve your Amaura into Aurorus, you need to meet a specific condition. Level up your Amaura to level 39, but the evolution will only occur at nighttime. Simply reaching level 39 during the day is not enough — you must wait until nighttime for the evolution to trigger.
