How to Make Paper in Pokopia

How to Make Paper in Pokopia

Paper is an essential crafting material in Pokopia that you’ll need for various tasks, including team initiation. The good news? Getting paper is straightforward and doesn’t require extensive progression. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the simple process of gathering waste paper and converting it into usable paper.

Where to Find Waste Paper

Waste paper is scattered throughout the game world and is easier to obtain than you might think. You can even begin collecting it early in your playthrough—no need to unlock the Skylands first. While the Skylands contain plenty of waste paper, you can also find it in Palette Town, which means you won’t have to wait for area unlocks to get started.

Once you reach the Skylands, look for piles of waste paper on the ground. There’s plenty available, so gather as much as you need for your crafting projects.

Converting Waste Paper to Paper

Simply collecting waste paper isn’t enough—you’ll need to process it into actual paper. To do this, you’ll need to use a Pokémon with the Recycle ability.

Using Trubbish and the Recycle Ability

One of the best Pokémon to use for this task is Trubbish, which possesses the Recycle ability. Navigate to the Bleak Beach or find any Pokémon with the Recycle ability that you have in your team.

Once you’ve located your Pokémon with the Recycle ability, interact with it by talking to it. Select the option to show it your waste paper and hand over the materials. The Pokémon will then convert your waste paper into actual paper.

For example, when using Trubbish, you may receive multiple piles of paper from a single interaction—in this case, two piles of paper were obtained. This makes the conversion process quite efficient and rewarding.

Summary

Making paper in Pokopia is a simple two-step process: gather waste paper from the ground (available in Palette Town or the Skylands) and use a Pokémon with the Recycle ability like Trubbish to convert it. You’ll have a steady supply of paper for all your crafting needs in no time. Be sure to collect extra waste paper whenever you encounter it, as you’ll likely need paper for multiple tasks throughout your game.
