How To Make a Staff Bathroom in Prison Architect

In Prison Architect, creating a dedicated staff bathroom is an essential part of maintaining a well-organized and efficient facility. This guide will walk you through the simple steps needed to build and designate a bathroom exclusively for your staff members.

Prerequisites: Unlock Required Policies

Before you can create a staff bathroom, you’ll need to unlock two key items through the Bureaucracy menu. First, go to the Bureaucracy section and look for the Security Chief on the right side of the menu. You’ll need to learn both the Chief and the Deployment policy to proceed.

Build the Staff Bathroom Room

Once you’ve unlocked the necessary policies, it’s time to construct the actual bathroom. Create a new room that will serve as your staff bathroom. Inside this room, you’ll need to place the following essential fixtures and utilities:

Room Components

A toilet

Water connection (plumbing)

Lighting

Start by placing a toilet in your designated room.

Next, connect the water supply to ensure the toilet functions properly.

Finally, add lighting to the room so staff can use it comfortably.

Designate the Room as Staff Only

Now that your bathroom is built and equipped, you need to designate it exclusively for staff use. Look for the Deployment option in the bottom left corner of your interface and click on it.

From the Deployment menu, select the “Staff Only” option to restrict access to staff members only.

Finally, click on the bathroom room you just created to apply the Staff Only designation.
