Sword Piece #1: Do Not Disturb (Right Side of Map)

Your first sword piece is located on the right side of the map near Marigal Wheels. Head to the cave marker we’ve identified and enter it. Inside, you’ll need to defeat some Coboils and loot the chest to obtain the first sword piece.

Sword Piece #2: Southern Location

The second sword piece is found to the south. Head to the area where the pub is located (where you meet Anchor if you’ve progressed that far). Travel up the path from the road and you’ll find a cave entrance. This cave will be empty of enemies, but it provides a clue pointing you to the next location: a soldier camp.

Soldier Camp Location

The soldier camp is directly north of the letter T in Tantari Woods. Head there and locate the tent on the northeast side. Inside, you’ll encounter some guards to defeat. The second sword piece is stored in a box within this tent.

Note: You don’t technically need to visit the cave mentioned above, as it only provides directions. You can go directly to the soldier camp if you prefer.

Sword Piece #3: Cave Location

The third and final sword piece is located in another cave on the map. Refer to the map coordinates provided in your quest log to locate this cave efficiently.

Sword Piece #4: Cathedral Complex Sewers (A Monk and a Saint Quest)

The fourth piece is located in the cathedral complex sewers. This piece is part of a completely different quest line called “A Monk and a Saint,” which we have a separate guide for on our channel. Complete that quest to obtain this final piece.

Forging the Sword at Aarashi Hemat Heritage

Once you’ve collected all three main sword pieces and completed “A Monk and a Saint” quest, head northwest to Briar Sliles near Aarashi Hemat Heritage. You’ll find a blacksmith at this location.

Interacting with the Blacksmith

Talk to the blacksmith and tell her “I’m here to kill Brences.” She will direct you to enter the cave above her location. Note that this same blacksmith also handles a different armor quest if you’re interested in that content.

The Final Cave: Obtaining the Sword of Mikai

Enter the cave and cut through the brambles or vines blocking the entrance. The cave interior contains several enemies that will rise to attack you as you progress.

Cave Navigation Tips

Attempting the cave at night provides strategic advantages due to visibility and NPC behavior. Work your way up through the cave carefully, avoiding the cliff on the left side.

Opening the Locked Doors

You’ll encounter doors that appear locked but are actually passable. Simply walk directly into them and they will open automatically, allowing you to continue deeper into the cave.

Once you reach the inner chamber, locate the altar and interact with it. Defeat the enemies that spawn, then interact with the altar once more to claim your reward: the legendary Sword of Mikai.
