To begin the Star Crossed Lovers quest, head north from the village into the forest. Rather than wandering aimlessly, look for a clear path leading upward into the trees. Follow this path as it winds through the forest terrain.

Continue following the path until you reach a shack in the forest. The quest markers should guide you to the correct location, positioned between two mountains just north of a small hill.

Investigating the Crime Scene

Upon arrival at the shack, you’ll need to inspect everything in the area. You’ll find several important items:

A knife on the floor (lootable)

A letter describing a request to join the army that was rejected

A bloody knife

A bottle of wine

Using Compel Saul

After gathering the items, you’ll need to use the “Compel Saul” ability on the body at the scene. To do this, select either the knife or the seal as your catalyst. The knife (the top item) works well for this purpose.

Once you’ve selected your catalyst item, activate the “Compel Saul” ability to extract information from the deceased.

Following the Blood Trail

After completing the compel action, you’ll need to follow a blood trail that leads away from the initial crime scene. The trail will guide you through several areas:

Up the hillside

Through the bushes

Along a white path

Past the cliffside

Defeating the Wolves

Along the blood trail, you’ll encounter wolves and discover another body. Defeat the wolves before proceeding further.

Inspecting the Second Body

Once the wolves are dealt with, inspect the second body you’ve discovered. This will provide crucial information for completing the quest.

Returning to Town and Completing the Quest

After investigating both locations and following the blood trail, return to the armorer in town. Report your findings about the death you’ve uncovered.
