The Cursed Chasm quest begins on the left side of the map. From your starting position, head up a path that leads into the mountains. Your ultimate destination is a bridge that overlooks the chasm below.

Pro Tip: While this quest can be completed at any time, we highly recommend doing it at night time. Completing the quest during nighttime will make the experience significantly easier and more manageable.

Navigating to the Bridge

Follow the mountain path as it winds upward. The route is fairly straightforward, though it’s easy to accidentally wander off the trail. Stay focused on the main path, and you’ll eventually reach the bridge that spans across the chasm.

Once you arrive at the bridge, you’ll notice something interesting below: treasures scattered in the ravine below. Take a moment to inspect the cart you’ll see—it contains valuable items worth looting.

Descending into the Ravine

The direct drop into the chasm is a long way down, so we don’t recommend jumping straight down. Instead, make your way back around the bridge and work your way to the side of the ravine. As you navigate around, you’ll notice the cliff edge on your map. This marks the safest route downward.

Look for the pathway along the cliff edge—this is your way down into the chasm. Use shadow spells or similar abilities to traverse across safely. As mentioned earlier, completing this section during nighttime makes the descent much easier to manage.

Enemies and Combat Preparation

Once you’ve descended into the ravine, be prepared to encounter enemies. You’ll face several creatures in the area—creatures referred to as “grateful” in the game world. If you’re on the lower end of the level spectrum, these enemies may pose a challenge.

Recommended Level: Around level 15 or higher is ideal for this quest. However, lower-level players can still complete it with careful strategy and preparation.

Looting and Rewards

Make sure to loot all the enemies you defeat. These creatures carry excellent resources that are well worth collecting, especially if you haven’t encountered them before. Their drops include valuable materials and equipment.

As you explore the valley further, you’ll discover additional loot including a final report, various braces, and other cool items. One of the most notable rewards from this quest is a map that leads to a silver cache.

The Legendary Weapon: Durandal

Hidden within the wagon at the very bottom of the ravine lies one of the quest’s most valuable rewards: Durandal, a legendary weapon. This weapon is separate from the treasure you’ll loot from the general area, making it an especially prized discovery.
