Make sure you’ve reached Level 4 of Notorious by progressing through the lower notoriety levels (Insignificant and beyond). Once you reach Level 4 Notorious, you’ll receive instructions to go to Daytime in the city.

Meeting at the Cathedral Complex

When you arrive in the city, head to the Cathedral Complex located in the center of the city. This is a beautiful and unmistakable landmark. You’ll meet the quest contact near the cathedral. Remember that this meeting must take place during daytime — this timing is crucial for the quest to proceed.

Following Sarah and the Cutscene

After meeting your contact, a long cutscene will play. Pay attention to the dialogue as it sets up the next objective. You’ll learn that you need to investigate what happened to some missing scouts.

Investigating the House of Pink Facade

Locating the Building

Your next objective is to find the house of the pink facade in Nurestadt, located in the city. Head west from the cathedral area to find this location. Look for a distinctive pink-colored building — it’s quite obvious once you’re in the right area, under the archway in a small square.

Looting and Exploring

When you arrive at the house, feel free to explore and loot everything inside — it’s not considered stealing. If you need to sell items or manage your inventory, the General Trade is conveniently located nearby.

Searching for Clues

Enter the pink building through the front door and head upstairs. Once inside, you need to inspect all the bits on the floors. There are three items to examine on the ground level. Additionally, check the book on the table and look out the window to spot blood spatters on the opposite building.

Following the Blood Trail

Exiting and Locating the Blood

After gathering clues inside the pink building, head outside. The blood spatters you saw from the window are located just north of the building. Inspect the blood to continue the investigation.

Tracking the Trail Through the Alleyway

Once you’ve examined the blood, follow the blood trail through the city. The trail will lead you through several locations in sequence:

Through the alleyway system

Down towards the gate area

Past a cart outside the city

Down to a small hamlet outside the city walls

Down further along the wall

Round the back of buildings

Reaching the Final Location

Entering the House

The blood trail leads you to a house in the hamlet. You’ll need to find a way inside, as the main entrance may not be accessible. Look for a way to climb up and enter through the back or an upper level. Once you’ve gained entry, proceed inside.

Discovering the Scouts

Inside the house, you’ll discover the missing scouts. Unfortunately, they are no longer alive — the investigation reveals they’ve all been killed. This grim discovery completes the investigation portion of the quest.

Completing the Quest

After examining the bodies and the scene, exit the house through any available door (front, back, or garden exit). As you leave, guards will arrive on the scene. This triggers the end of the “Where Loyalty Lies” quest and begins the next quest in the chain: “What Hunts the Night?”
