How to Upgrade Your Backpack

Step 1: Visit the General Store

Head into town and locate the general store. You can identify it by the distinctive icon above the door. Once you’ve found it, enter the shop.

Step 2: Navigate to the Bag Upgrade

Inside the general store, use the arrow navigation buttons at the top of the shop interface to browse items. Scroll through the items until you find the one with the axe or hatchet icon. Continue scrolling until you locate the bag upgrade item.

Step 3: Purchase the Bag Upgrade

The bag upgrade costs 1,000 gold (referred to as Tessiré in Fields of Mistria). While this price is fairly expensive, it’s absolutely worth the investment for the convenience and functionality it provides. Click on the bag upgrade and press buy to complete the purchase.

Step 4: Activate Your Upgraded Backpack

After purchasing the bag upgrade, it will immediately appear in slot four of your inventory. You’ll see a prompt that says “Press E to expand inventory.” Press the E key to activate the upgrade.

Step 5: Confirm Your Expanded Inventory

Once you press E, your inventory size will increase instantly. You’ll notice that your inventory now has two tabs—an A tab and a B tab—indicating that your inventory space has expanded from 10 slots to 20 slots total.
