How to Unlock Yoko in Vampire Survivors

Yoko is a powerful character in Vampire Survivors that can be unlocked through a specific boss encounter. This guide walks you through the exact steps needed to unlock her, including how to reach the Abaddon boss fight and defeat him with Soma.

Requirements and Setup

To unlock Yoko, you’ll need to use the character Soma and defeat Abaddon. Abaddon is the boss associated with the Kingsgate.

If you already have access to the Kingsgate, you can teleport directly to Abaddon’s location, making the process much faster.

Obtaining the Kingsgate (If Needed)

If you don’t have the Kingsgate yet, it’s recommended to obtain it first. The Kingsgate is located at a specific gate location in the map. Once you defeat Abaddon the first time, you’ll receive the Kingsgate as a reward.

After acquiring the Kingsgate, you’ll be able to use teleportation gates to navigate the map more efficiently.

Locating Abaddon

To find Abaddon’s location, look for the skull icon on your map. This marks Abaddon’s position within the stage.

Once you’ve identified the skull, navigate to that area. You’ll need to find the clock location first, then head upward from there.

Fighting Abaddon with Soma

When you reach the skull area, you’ll see a circle that you can activate to initiate the Abaddon boss fight. Use Soma as your character and engage in the battle.

Defeat Abaddon completely to progress toward unlocking Yoko. After successfully defeating him with Soma, you will automatically unlock Yoko as a playable character.

Confirming the Unlock

Once you’ve defeated Abaddon with Soma, quit the stage and return to the main menu or character selection screen.

Navigate to the character selection menu. You should now see Yoko on the right side of the character roster. Select her to purchase and officially unlock her for use in future runs.
