All Crate Locations for 73 Source Extraction Point in Once Human

The 73 Source Extraction Point is a key location in the Red Sand’s area of Once Human. Located west of the main town, this extraction point contains valuable loot scattered throughout the facility. This guide will walk you through the exact locations of all five crates available in this area, including two mystical crates, two weapon crates, and one gear crate.

Overview of the Area

The 73 Source Extraction Point is positioned in the Red Sand’s area, west of the main town. Within this facility, you’ll find a total of five crates to collect:

2 Mystical Crates

2 Weapon Crates

1 Gear Crate

Be prepared for heavy defenses throughout the area, including Bruiser enemies that you’ll need to clear out before safely collecting the crates.

First Weapon Crate – Ground Level Building

Start by entering through the front gate of the extraction point. You’ll immediately encounter a Bruiser enemy near the entrance. Your first target is the main building located on the ground level, which you can access by walking straight in through the main gate.

Once inside, head to your right side. The first weapon crate is positioned immediately to the right as you enter the building. This is one of the easiest crates to obtain in the facility.

Gear Crate – Main Building First Floor

To reach the gear crate, you need to access the main building and climb the stairs to the first floor. From the weapon crate location, head up to the little office on the top floor of the ground-level building. You can exit through the back and jump down, or simply walk around to reach the main building entrance.

Enter the main building and proceed to the stairwell. Begin climbing the stairs, and stop when you reach the first floor—you don’t need to go all the way to the top at this point.

When you reach the first floor landing, you’ll notice a room with Bruiser enemies inside. The gear crate is located behind where these enemies are standing. Clear out the enemies and collect the gear crate.

First Mystical Crate – Upper Levels via Pipes

After collecting the gear crate, return to the main stairwell and climb all the way to the top of the building. The stairs feature distinctive red lighting that will help you navigate. Continue climbing until you exit the building onto an outdoor area.

Once outside, look to your left for a wall. Follow this wall downward, clearing any enemies in your path as you descend.

As you follow the wall down, you’ll encounter a purple structure. Jump through this purple structure and then climb the ladder on the other side.

After climbing the ladder, walk through the structure again and continue along the pipe. Following this path will lead you to the first mystical crate.

Second Mystical Crate – Top of the Structure

To reach the second mystical crate, you’ll need to use the elevator located in the facility. This same elevator is also used to access the Rift anchor. Return to the main building area and locate the elevator.

Enter the elevator and ride it to the very top of the structure. This will take you to the guard tower area at the peak of the facility.

Once you reach the top, proceed into the main building located at this elevated level. Head downstairs toward the back of the main building.

As you descend the back stairs of this upper building, you’ll find the second mystical crate. However, note that this crate room is locked and requires a Rosetta V2 key card to access.

Second Weapon Crate – Locked Room

In the same area where you’ll find the second mystical crate, there is also a second weapon crate. This weapon crate is located in a room that requires a Rosetta V2 key card for access.

Key Card Requirements

The Rosetta V2 key card is required to open both the locked room with the second mystical crate and the second weapon crate. This key card drops from Rosetta units found throughout the facility. While the drop rate is generally reliable, it depends on luck with enemy drops.

Good news: even if you don’t have the V2 key card, the mystical crate itself is accessible from the open side of the room. You can collect the mystical crate without the key card, but you’ll need the card to access the weapon crate stored in that locked area.
