All Crate Locations for Rotten Saddle in Once Human

Overview of Rotten Saddle

Rotten Saddle is located in Chalk Peak, the fourth region of the map. You’ll find it positioned centrally on the left-hand side of the map, just over the mountain from the main village and not far from the beach. This location contains a mix of raiders and mutants, so prepare accordingly before looting.

Crate Locations

First Weapon Crate – L-Shaped Building

Head toward the rift anchor and locate the L-shaped building near the parking lot area. Enter through the main gates and navigate past the large structure in the parking lot. Climb the stairs to the second floor of the L-shaped building. The first weapon crate is easy to spot on the upper level.

First Gear Crate – Residential House

From the first crate, head eastward across town through the parking lot into the next open area. You’ll see a bungalow-style residential area. Enter the house that has a second floor (it features a bunk bed) and climb the ladder inside. The gear crate is located on the upper level of this residence.

Second Weapon Crate – Under the Tent

Exit the house and head slightly north past the double red building. Look for a small red tent marker on your map. The second weapon crate is positioned directly underneath this tent structure.

Third Weapon Crate & Additional Crates – The Large Central Building

The main building in Rotten Saddle contains multiple crates plus a treasure chest. Enter from the south side and climb the stairs multiple times, working your way upward through the structure. You’re aiming to reach the roof.

Accessing the Roof Sections

Continue climbing until you reach the upper levels. From here, you can glide across to the other main part of the building. This movement will get you to additional crate locations on the opposite roof section.

Second Gear Crate – Building Roof

Once you’ve navigated to the back section of the building, look for an entrance on the second floor. You can also glide from the roof area to access a balcony. The second gear crate is located in this section of the building.

First Mystical Crate – Building Interior

While navigating the large central building, you’ll find the first mystical crate accessible from the roof sections. Glide down to the appropriate level to claim this crate.

Second Mystical Crate – Rocky Area Caravan Park

Exit the main building and head toward the rocky area outside of town. Travel along the main street and pass the brick wall as you exit the town area. Turn left and head into the caravan park in the rocky section. You’ll find a storage crate in this area, followed by a purple icon.

Navigating the Purple Portal

Walk through the purple icon—it functions as a teleportation mechanic. Cross through it multiple times as it repositions you across the caravan area. After passing through the portal sequence, you’ll reach the final mystical crate location.
