Starting the Dead Drop Quest

To begin the Dead Drop quest, head to the right-hand side of Lazlia Glen where you’ll find the quest marker. While you’re in the area, there’s also a shrine nearby that you should grab while you’re there.

Investigating the Clues

Like most quests in Blood of the Dawnwalker, this one relies on finding footprints and inspecting evidence. The game really does lean heavily into the detective work—you might call it a “Bookprint Simulator” with how thorough the investigation mechanics are.

Finding the Footprints

Start by looking for footprints to follow. These will guide you through the quest area and help you locate the key evidence points.

Inspecting Tree Symbols

Inspect the first symbol you find on a tree. Continue following the trail northward, and you’ll encounter more signs on additional trees. Make sure to examine each one as you progress through the area.

Looting the Final Reward

Once you’ve followed all the clues and reached the final location under a tree, you’ll be able to loot the quest items. You’ll receive a Ring of Purging and a Mysterious Letter. These items complete the Dead Drop quest.
