How To Feed Staff In Prison Architect

Keeping your staff fed and happy is essential for maintaining an efficient prison in Prison Architect. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up a Staff Room with food distribution, ensuring your guards and other staff members have access to meals while on duty.

Enable Staff Needs

The first step is to enable staff needs in your prison settings. Navigate to Prescape, then select Extras, followed by Map Settings. From there, choose Staff Needs to activate this feature for your prison.

Build a Staff Room

Next, you’ll need to create a dedicated Staff Room where your employees can eat and rest. Using Quick Build makes this process much easier. Search for “Staff” in the Quick Build menu and click on it. Build the Staff Room next to existing structures like a container or shop for convenient access.

Add a Serving Table

Once your Staff Room is built, you need to furnish it with a Serving Table. Go to Objects and search for “Serving Table.” Select the Small variant and place it inside your newly constructed Staff Room.

Install Electricity

The Serving Table requires power to function. Make sure to add Electricity to the Staff Room so the table operates properly and can keep food fresh.

Set Up Food Distribution

The final step is to connect your Kitchen to the Staff Room. Click on Logistics in the bottom left of your screen, then select Food Distribution. Identify your Kitchen from the list and click on it, then click on your Staff Room to establish the connection. This ensures food will be delivered from the Kitchen to the Serving Table in the Staff Room.

Verify Your Setup

Once everything is connected, you should see food appearing in the Staff Room. Watch for the food tray and you’ll soon notice your staff members eating their meals. Your staff feeding system is now complete and operational.
