In this guide, we’ll walk you through completing the “Over The Edge” side gig quest in Cyberpunk 2077. This mysterious quest takes you through a brain dance sequence and requires some patience as you wait for responses from key contacts. Follow along to discover the location of a legendary reward waiting for you at the end.

Starting the Quest: Brain Dance in the Alleyway

The “Over The Edge” quest begins in a mysterious alleyway in Cyberpunk 2077. Your first task is to complete a brain dance sequence to initiate the quest.

Contacting Mooomar Alcaptain Reyes

After the brain dance sequence, you need to text Mooomar Alcaptain Reyes. Open your phone and send him a message to proceed with the quest.

Once you’ve texted him, Mooomar will respond that he needs time to investigate. He’ll tell you to wait 24 hours in-game before he gets back to you.

Skipping Time

Rather than waiting in real-time, you can use the skip time function to advance 24 hours in-game. Navigate to the menu on the left-hand side and select the skip time option. Choose to wait 24 hours.

Receiving the Follow-up Message from Falco

After skipping 24 hours, you’ll receive a text message from Falco mentioning David Martinez. The message contains information about rumblings in the city. You can close this text and continue without reading the full conversation if you prefer.

Traveling to the Dam Location

Next, you’ll need to travel to the “Over The Edge” quest marker. The location is near the dam viewpoint fast travel area, which you can find on the right-hand side of the map. Fast travel to this location and then head down the road to find the quest marker.

The marker is positioned just down the road from the dam, near the actual fixer himself. You’ll see it clearly marked on your screen as you approach.

Claiming Your Reward: David’s Legendary Jacket

Upon reaching the quest location on the ledge, you’ll find David’s jacket waiting for you. This is a legendary item, making it a valuable reward despite its unusual appearance. Collect this legendary piece of equipment to complete the quest.

Quest Complete
