Starting the Quest with Flynn

Traveling to the Fallen Fortress

Your first objective is to go with Flynn to the Fallen Fortress. Before heading out, consider changing your outfit for the occasion. The Fallen Fortress is located on the left-hand side of the map. You’ll need to enter the Fallen Fortress trial area to proceed.

Crafting the Flower Extract

Once you arrive at the Fallen Fortress entry, Flynn will explain that green mushrooms are blocking the vault entrance. To clear these obstructions, you need to craft a Flower Extract. This potion requires the following ingredients:

White Roses — Found on the left side of Storybook Vale

Olive Green Tail Cone Flowers — Found in the Bind

Pesidonia — Fished from open waters in Mifopia (not from fishing ripples)

Honeydew Melons — Available for purchase at Goofy’s Stall in Mifopia

Head to the Potions and Enchantments section to craft the Flower Extract with these materials.

Clearing the Green Mushrooms

Once you’ve crafted the Flower Extract, return to the Fallen Fortress trial area. Use your watering can to apply the potion and clear away all the green mushrooms blocking the path. The mushrooms will disappear, allowing you to proceed inside.

Reading the Riddle Notes

After entering the vault, talk to Flynn and then inspect the three corridor notes. These notes contain riddles that hint at the three crew members you’ll need to recruit:

First Riddle: “A thick dark smoke will be your end” — Hints at someone who can withstand toxic smoke

Second Riddle: “A door that simply cannot be breached needs the target out of reach” — Hints at an expert archer

Third Riddle: References creating fire — Hints at a character with fire abilities

Recruiting Your Heist Crew

Identifying the Three Crew Members

After reading all three notes, talk to Flynn again. You’ll need to recruit three specific characters to overcome the vault’s challenges:

Merida (from Brave) — The expert archer who can shoot targets out of reach

Stitch (from Lilo & Stitch) — The character who can withstand the toxic smoke

Moana — The character who can create fire using fireworks to clear the way

Talking to Each Crew Member

Locate each character in the valley and talk to them about joining your heist crew. When you interact with them, select the “An Old Fashioned Heist” quest option if multiple dialogue options appear.

Activating the Vault Levers

With your crew assembled, return to the vault and work through each corridor section:

Merida’s Challenge

Talk to Merida, then take out your net and hit the lever she indicates. This will clear her section of the vault.

Stitch’s Challenge

Next, talk to Stitch. Go through to his area and hit the corresponding lever. Be careful not to confuse the levers—each one controls a specific section.

Moana’s Challenge

Finally, talk to Moana, who will use fireworks to clear her section. Hit the final lever to complete this stage and gain entry to Maleficence’s Vault.

Entering Maleficence’s Vault and Collecting Memories

After activating all three levers, you can now enter Maleficence’s Vault. Inside, you’ll find valuable items and two memories that must be collected. Gather both memories from the vault.

Completing the Quest

Return to Flynn and talk to him about what you’ve discovered in the vault. Once you’ve spoken with Flynn, the “An Old Fashioned Heist” quest will be marked as complete.
