The Forgotten Relics Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Dream Light Valley is falling apart at the seams, and it’s time to help fix it! This comprehensive quest guide will walk you through every step of the Forgotten Relics quest, from speaking with Merlin to collecting all four hidden relics scattered across the valley. Whether you’re new to the game or just stuck on this particular quest, follow along as we uncover the stories behind each forgotten relic.

Starting the Quest: Talk to Merlin

Begin by locating Merlin in the valley. Once you’ve found him, click on his character to interact. From the dialogue menu, select the “Forgotten Relics” option to initiate the quest.

After selecting the quest, Merlin will ask you to follow him to Mickey’s house. Head to that location with Merlin as your guide.

Enter Mickey’s House

Upon arrival at Mickey’s house, you’ll notice a visible tear in reality outside the building. Talk to Merlin again, and he’ll direct you to search inside the house for something imbued with dark magic.

Once inside, look for a book sitting on the table. Pick it up—this is your first forgotten relic and represents the Storybook.

Return to Merlin outside and show him what you’ve found. This action triggers several related sub-quests, with the main task being to search for four forgotten relics around the village.

The Four Forgotten Relics

Relic #1: The Storybook

After picking up the storybook from Mickey’s house, you need to ask Mickey about it. Find Mickey in the village and show him the book. Once you’ve spoken to him about it, this sub-quest is complete.

Relic #2: The Drawing (Scar’s Cave)

Your next destination is Scar’s Cave, located in the Sunlit Plateau. Navigate to the Sunlit Plateau area where you’ll find the entrance to Scar’s Cave clearly marked.

Inside the cave, look for a picture lying on the floor. Pick it up to collect the second forgotten relic.

Exit the cave and locate Scar, who should be nearby outside his residence. Talk to him and show him the drawing. Once you’ve completed this interaction, the second relic sub-quest is done.

Relic #3: The Blanket (Olaf’s Chamber)

Head to the Frozen Heights and locate Olaf’s Chamber. Teleport to this area for faster travel.

Inside Olaf’s Chamber, search the corners of the room carefully. You’ll find a blanket in the corner—pick it up to collect the third forgotten relic.

Now you’ll need to speak to two characters about this blanket: first talk to Olaf, then seek out Elsa and discuss the blanket with her as well.

Relic #4: The Beach Toys (Beach Cave)

The final relic is located in the cave on the beach where you previously encountered Ursula. Navigate to the beach and enter this cave.

Inside the cave, you’ll see a note and other items. Look for a bucket and spade—these are your fourth forgotten relic. Pick them up.

Exit the cave and find Ursula to complete her interaction. After that, locate Moana and show her the bucket and spade (the beach toys). This completes the final relic sub-quest.

Quest Complete

Once you’ve collected all four forgotten relics and completed interactions with Mickey, Scar, Olaf, Elsa, Ursula, and Moana, the entire Forgotten Relics quest will be marked as complete. You’ll then unlock the next main quest: “The Dark Castle.”
