Quest Overview

The Adventurous Memoir quest becomes available after reaching a certain level of friendship with Sifu. This quest requires you to read Sifu’s book, wait for her response, then interview three villagers about their opinions on good books before returning to Sifu with your findings.

Step 1: Read Sifu’s Book at Shapa Crossing

Your first objective is to locate and read Sifu’s book. Head to Shapa Crossing and enter Sifu’s home. Once inside, you’ll find her book displayed. Interact with it to read all five pages of the book.

Step 2: Return to Sifu in Kalama Town

After reading all five pages of Sifu’s book, make your way to Kalama Town where Sifu is currently located. Find Sifu and speak with her to let her know that you’ve read her book. When prompted, select the response “It’s awesome” to continue the quest.

After this conversation, the quest will update. Note that you’ll need to wait until 6 a.m. Palia time for Sifu to send you a mail with further instructions.

Step 3: Check Your Mail at Your Plot

Return to your plot and check your mailbox. You should receive a mail from Sifu containing the next stage of the quest. This mail will trigger the next objective: asking three villagers about what makes a good book.

Step 4: Ask Three Villagers About Good Books

Now you need to find and interview three specific villagers to learn their opinions on what makes a good book. Here are the three villagers you need to speak with:

Interview 1: Calary at the Library

Head to the library and find Calary, the librarian. Speak with her and select the dialogue option “What makes a good book?” She will share her thoughts, and this will count as 1 out of 3 interviews completed.

Interview 2: Canyata

Next, locate Canyata in the village. Talk to her and ask “What makes a good book?” She will provide her perspective on good books. You will now have 2 out of 3 interviews completed.

Interview 3: Dish at the Tailor Shop

Find Dish at the Tailor Shop. Speak with her and ask “What makes a good book?” to complete your third and final interview. Once you’ve chatted with all three villagers, the quest will automatically update.

Step 5: Return to Sifu to Complete the Quest

Head back to Sifu’s location and speak with her. Tell her about the survey you conducted and share what you’ve learned from the three villagers. This final conversation will complete the Adventurous Memoir quest.
