An Icy Invitation Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Welcome to this comprehensive guide for An Icy Invitation, Anna’s first friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This quest involves helping prepare the valley for Elsa’s visit by clearing obstacles and gathering information. Follow along as we walk through each step of this icy adventure.

Starting the Quest: Meet Anna at the Bridge

Begin by talking to Anna to initiate her first friendship quest. The main objective of this quest is to do something special for Elsa so she feels more comfortable when she visits the valley.

Your first task is to follow Anna to the bridge located in the Forest of Valor. Once you reach the bridge, talk to Anna to learn about the next steps.

Discovering the Solution: Visit the Ice Castle Library

Anna will explain that a regular shovel won’t be enough to remove the tree stumps blocking the bridge. To find a solution, you’ll need to visit the Ice Castle and search the library for a book on stump removal.

Head to the Ice Castle and navigate to the library around the corner. Look for the yellow book on the table—this is the Mystical Flora and Fauna Book. Pick it up and bring it back to Anna.

Crafting the Shovel Blade

With the book in hand, your next objective is to craft a Shovel Blade at a crafting station. You can use the crafting station at Goofy’s house for this purpose.

Once at the crafting station, navigate to the Potions and Enchantments section to find the Shovel Blade recipe. To craft it, you’ll need:

Hardwood

Softwood

Iron Ingots

Craft the Shovel Blade and then go into your inventory to use it.

Clearing the Tree Stumps

Now that you have your upgraded Shovel Blade, head back to the bridge in the Forest of Valor and remove the tree stumps that are blocking the way. Simply dig them up with your shovel.

As a bonus, removing these stumps will drop various wood resources, including both hardwood and softwood. Once the bridge is clear, return to Anna and let her know the path is now open.

Visiting the Ice Cavern

The next step involves visiting the Ice Cavern with Anna. Once you arrive at the cavern, take a picture of it. Show the picture to Anna so she can see what you’ve discovered.

After showing her the photo, Anna will give you a letter that needs to be delivered to Elsa.

Delivering the Letter to Elsa

Now you need to take Anna’s letter to Elsa. Head to the Dreamlight Castle and make your way to the Frozen Realm. The Frozen Realm entrance is located on the middle floor of the castle and is marked by an icicle.

Once inside the Frozen Realm, find Elsa and give her Anna’s letter. This completes the delivery portion of the quest.

Final Step: Report Back to Anna

After delivering the letter to Elsa, leave the Frozen Realm and exit the Dreamlight Castle. Now you need to find Anna one more time to complete the quest.

Anna can typically be found shopping at the store in Zippalapa. Talk to her to finish An Icy Invitation quest.
