Friends Aren’t Food Quest Guide In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Friends Aren’t Food Quest Guide – Disney Dreamlight Valley

This comprehensive guide will walk you through the “Friends Aren’t Food” quest, Scar’s first friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Follow these steps to complete the quest and earn valuable rewards as you work towards strengthening your relationship with Scar.

Starting the Quest

Begin by talking to Scar to initiate his first friendship quest. After the initial conversation, you’ll need to seek out Mother Goffal to progress further in the questline.

Locate Mother Goffal and select the “Friends Aren’t Food” dialogue option. She’ll explain that she can help you craft a coat more befitting a ruler.

Gathering Materials from Mother Goffal

Mother Goffal will request that you collect the following specific ingredients:

Iron Ingot

Citrine

Fabric

Fiber

You may already have some of these materials lying around your village. Check your inventory first before gathering new supplies.

How to Obtain Each Material

Citrine: You can find citrines naturally scattered around your valley. If you need additional information on gem locations, refer to dedicated gem-gathering guides.

Fiber: Fiber is obtained from seaweed found on Dazzle Beach.

Iron Ingot: Iron ingots can be found throughout the valley or crafted if you have the necessary materials.

Fabric: To craft fabric, travel to the Sunlit Plateau and purchase cotton seeds. Plant these seeds, harvest the cotton, and then convert the cotton into fabric using Goofy’s crafting stall.

Crafting Your Fabric

Head to the Sunlit Plateau to buy cotton seeds.

Once you’ve collected your cotton, return to your crafting station. You’ll need to craft 10 fabrics total, which requires 50 cotton. Use the crafting station to complete this task.

Delivering Materials to Mother Goffal

After gathering all the required materials, return to Mother Goffal and deliver the iron ingot, citrine, fabric, and fiber.

Mother Goffal will reveal that the gems were actually just for her—she tricked you! Nevertheless, you’ll receive your reward: the Brown Faux Trim Jacket.

Equipping Your New Coat

Navigate to your wardrobe menu. You’ll find your new item listed at the top under “Requests” as the Brown Faux Trim Jacket. Equip this item.

Returning to Scar

Once you’ve equipped the Brown Faux Trim Jacket, return to Scar to show off your new outfit. After this conversation, Scar will mention that he’s hungry, and you’ll need to find him some food.

Next, cook the Tekka Mackie using the same process. This recipe requires tuna, soya, seaweed, and rice.

You can disable the “Scoop Result Screen” in the settings if you prefer to cook more quickly without watching the full animation for each dish.

Delivering the Sushi

Once you’ve prepared all the sushi dishes, bring them to Remi. He’ll take the dishes and deliver the food to Scar himself.

Remi will also prepare a coconut cake for Scar as an additional gift, which you won’t need to make yourself.

Completing the Quest

Follow Remi as he delivers the food to Scar. After the conversation concludes, speak with Scar one final time to complete the quest.

Scar will acknowledge the meal with a somewhat dismissive attitude, but you’ll have successfully completed the “Friends Aren’t Food” quest. The quest emphasizes the important lesson: friends aren’t food!
