Starting the Quest
Begin by talking to Buzz Lightyear to initiate the quest.

After speaking with Buzz, you’ll witness a scene where Buzz apologizes to Ursula for a previous outburst. Allow this dialogue to play out.

Once the scene concludes, return to Buzz and speak with him again.

Gathering and Crafting Materials
Materials Needed for Ranger Badges
Buzz will ask you to gather materials to craft Ranger badges. You’ll need to collect and craft the following items:
Blue Ink – Made from blue hydrangeas, blueberries, and an empty vial
Fabric – Made from cotton (found in Sunnet Plateau)
Iron Ingots – Made from iron and coal
Head to the crafting bench to begin making these materials.

Creating Blue Ink
Blue ink requires blue hydrangeas, blueberries, and an empty vial. You’ll need to make three of these for the Space Ranger badges. This recipe is found in the Functional Items category.

Crafting Space Ranger Badges
Once you have all three materials ready, craft three Space Ranger badges. These are located in the Functional Items category of your crafting menu. This is the same badge type found in Scar’s Cave during previous quests.

Assigning Space Rangers
Return to Buzz after crafting the badges. You’ll now assign the three Space Ranger badges to valley residents to make them official Space Rangers.

Present the badges to the following characters in any order you prefer:
Moana
Scar
Remi

Give Moana her badge first.

Present Scar with his badge.

Finally, give Remi her badge.

Preparing for the Grand Opening
After assigning all three badges, speak with Buzz again. He’ll now ask you to gather and craft items for the Space Ranger Academy Grand Opening.

Items Needed
Gather the following items for the grand opening:
20 Ash Vault – Found in the Fences and Paving category (craftable in batches of 4)
1 Blue and Silver Balloon Arch – Found in the Furniture category

Crafting Ash Vault
You can craft ash vault in batches of four at a time. To create 20 ash vault, you’ll need to craft five times (4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 20).

Getting the Balloon Arch
The blue and silver balloon arch is located in the Furniture category and does not require crafting.

Placing Decorations Around Buzz’s RV
Now it’s time to decorate the area around Buzz’s RV for the grand opening. Open your inventory and navigate to Furniture to place the items.

Placing Ash Vault
Select the ash vault from your furniture and place them around Buzz’s RV. You can drag and position them to create an appealing layout for the grand opening.

Placing the Balloon Arch
Place the blue and silver balloon arch near Buzz’s RV as well.

Donning Your Space Ranger Uniform
While optional, wearing a Space Ranger uniform adds to the immersion. If you don’t have one already, you can acquire one before proceeding.

Placing the Space Ranger Buffet
Next, you’ll place the Space Ranger buffet near the RV. This item is pre-made and doesn’t require crafting. Open your inventory, go to Furniture, and select the Space Ranger buffet from Requests.

Position the buffet close to Buzz’s RV. Space may be limited, so place it as close as possible to complete the grand opening setup.

Celebrating the Grand Opening
Once all decorations are placed, the Space Ranger Academy Grand Opening will commence. You have the option to take a selfie with all the Space Rangers present at the celebration.

Launch the Space Ranger Command Academy to complete this phase of the quest.

Completing the Quest
Speak with Buzz one final time to complete the quest. As a reward for your efforts, Buzz will gift you a jetpack!

Congratulations! You have successfully completed “The Definition of a Hero” quest.
