The “It’s Good to Be Home” quest is Wally’s introductory quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Since Wally is still quite shy upon arrival, the quest focuses on helping him get acquainted with the village and its residents. You’ll complete several objectives to help him feel at home.

Step 1: Introduce Wally to a Friendly Neighbor

Your first objective is to introduce Wally to a friendly neighbor. Start by talking to Goofy, who will be one of Wally’s first acquaintances in the valley. This initial conversation will help Wally begin to feel more comfortable in his new home.

After you speak with Goofy, Wally and Goofy will have a little chat together and get acquainted with one another.

Step 2: Pick Flowers with Wally

Once Wally has finished chatting with Goofy, talk to Wally again. He’ll then ask you to show him around the village. The next objective is to pick flowers with him as part of this tour.

You’ll need to pick a total of three different flowers. You can choose any flowers you like from around the village—there’s no specific type required for this quest. Simply approach the flowers and pick them one by one until you’ve collected three.

Note: If your inventory becomes full (which happens frequently in Disney Dreamlight Valley), you may need to drop some items to make room for additional flowers.

Step 3: Feed an Animal Around the Village

The next objective is to feed an animal somewhere in the village. You’ll have several options—you might encounter squirrels or rabbits roaming around. Some critters, like rabbits, may run away, so targeting a squirrel is typically the easiest approach.

Finding and Feeding a Squirrel

Head to the Plaza area where you’ll find squirrels available to feed. Approach the squirrel and press E to interact with it. You can then offer it food.

Best Food for Squirrels

While squirrels will eat most foods, the food they absolutely love is peanuts. Peanuts can be purchased from Remi’s Kitchen once you’ve completed the relevant quest (there’s a dedicated guide for that on the channel as well).

When you feed the squirrel peanuts, you’ll see a little love heart appear above it, indicating that it loves this food. The squirrel will happily gobble up the peanuts.

Bonus Reward: After feeding the animal, you may receive a little motif bag as a bonus reward for decorating your clothing. This is an additional reward and not required for quest completion.

Step 4: Complete the Quest

Once you’ve picked three flowers and fed an animal, return to talk to Wally one final time. He’ll express his happiness about being in the village with you, saying something along the lines of “I’m really glad we’re together” and confirming that he enjoys being in the village.
