Quest Overview

The “Stars to Guide Us” quest automatically unlocks after you help Nala in the Lion King realm. This quest involves multiple stages, from gathering materials to crafting magical items and restoring the oasis. By the end, Simba will join your valley.

Stage 1: Follow Simba Into the Jungle

Begin by heading into the Lion King realm and locating Simba. He will ask you to follow him deeper into the valley and into the jungle. Note that Simba may get stuck along the path, but he will eventually make his way through.

Once you reach the viewpoint, talk to Simba. He will mention that you should speak with Merlin about what’s happening. You can exit the area near where Simba is positioned to leave the realm.

Stage 2: Consult with Merlin

Locate Merlin and speak with him about Simba’s situation. Merlin will explain that Simba won’t return to Dreamlight Valley unless you can help him see the stars and provide guidance from the King of the Past.

Stage 3: Craft Rafiki’s Walking Stick

To help Simba, you need to craft Rafiki’s Walking Stick. This requires a spell with the following materials:

Required Materials:

Fiber

Softwood

Purified Nightshard

How to Obtain Materials:

Purified Nightshard: Mine Onyx and combine it with a potion and enchantment. Then purify the resulting nightshard using dream shards.

Fiber: Gather seaweed and process it into fiber.

Softwood: Obtain this through standard harvesting in the valley.

Crafting the Walking Stick

Once you have all materials, go to the Potions and Enchantments menu and craft Rafiki’s Walking Stick.

Stage 4: Place the Walking Stick on the Stone Mound

Return to Simba’s location deep in the jungle. Locate the stone mound positioned directly next to where Simba stands. Place Rafiki’s Walking Stick on this stone mound.

After placing the walking stick, talk to Simba again. The stars will magically appear in the sky, signaling progress in your quest.

Stage 5: Restore the Dried Out Oasis

Simba will now ask you to follow him to the dried out oasis on the other side of the Lion King realm. To restore this location, you must collect three types of seeds.

Seeds to Collect:

Jungle Fan Seeds

Waterfall Plant Seeds

Clearing Tree Seeds

Seed Locations

Jungle Fan Seeds: Use your shovel to dig up plants around the oasis area. You will find three jungle fan seeds in total. Check near the oasis, by the river, and around the perimeter of the clearing.

Waterfall Plant Seeds: Continue digging around the oasis area. You will find three waterfall plant seeds scattered throughout the location.

Clearing Tree Seeds: Head back to where you placed Rafiki’s Walking Stick. You will find the final two clearing tree seeds in this area.

Stage 6: Plant Seeds at the Oasis

Return to the dried out oasis where Simba is waiting. Give him all the seeds you collected. You can then plant the seeds anywhere around the oasis using your shovel to dig holes. Plant all seeds to restore the area.

Stage 7: Free the Water Source

After planting all seeds, you need to free the water source to the oasis. Locate the large rock blocking the water and use your pickaxe to break it. This will release water into the oasis and cause the vegetation to flourish.

Talk to Simba one more time after the water flows and the area is restored.

Stage 8: Welcome Simba to Dreamlight Valley

Return to Dreamlight Valley through the castle door. Simba will automatically appear in the valley as soon as you exit the Lion King realm.

Approach Simba and talk to him to complete the quest. Unlike other characters, you do not need to place a house for Simba, as he lives with Nala at the rock.
