Starting the Quest with Moana

Begin by speaking with Moana at her house. She will tell you: “I’m so glad you’re here. There are night forms growing in my vale. Do you know how to get rid of these things?” You’ll respond that you can handle the situation.

Note: Moana’s house location may differ from your layout, so adjust accordingly.

Objective 1: Remove Night Forms from Moana’s House

Head to Moana’s house and remove all the night forms growing there. After clearing them, a memory will appear inside the house. Pick up this memory to progress.

The memory shows a picture of Moana. Once collected, speak to Moana again. She will mention: “I remember about some flowers” and suggest that picking flowers together in the forest might help her remember more.

Objective 2: Gather Flowers from the Forest of Valor

Travel to the Forest of Valor and collect flowers. Looking at the memory, you’ll see they appear to be white and blue flowers. However, any flowers in the Forest of Valor will work for this objective, including blue, white, and purple varieties.

Collect 10 flowers total. If your inventory becomes full, make space before continuing.

Once you’ve gathered enough flowers, another memory will appear. Pick it up and return to speak with Moana again.

Objective 3: Speak with Maui About His Memories

Moana will ask you to check with Maui about what he remembers. Find Maui and speak with him. He will recall: “I was mining for rocks in the Forest of Valor. But there’s something else. I remember Moana was picking fruit for me.”

Another memory will appear showing Moana picking blueberries. Collect this memory and return to Moana once more.

Objective 4: Harvest Blueberries from the Forest of Valor

Moana will say: “Yeah, I remember. We weren’t alone. I’m missing something. Let’s go pick some fruit in the forest like before.” Head back to the Forest of Valor and harvest blueberries. You need to collect 6 blueberries for this objective.

After harvesting the required blueberries, a final memory will appear. Pick it up—this one shows a cute little piggy.

Objective 5: Find Pua and Gather Coconuts

Talk to Moana about the memory. She will exclaim: “Oh, how can I forget about my poor friend, Pua? That cute little piggy must be so scared. She thinks Pua is hiding in the village and suggests: “I bet we can lure him out of hiding with something to eat. And coconuts would be perfect.”

To obtain coconuts, you must first complete the “Burying the Eel” friendship quest with Maui. This is Maui’s first friendship quest and involves some fishing. Complete this quest if you haven’t already.

Once you have the coconut tree from Maui’s quest, plant and grow the coconuts. When harvested, you will receive free coconuts.

Objective 6: Complete the Quest

Give the coconuts to Moana wherever she has relocated. She will respond positively and another Dreamlight Shard will appear. Collect this shard and give it to Moana to complete the final step.

Speak with Moana one final time to officially complete The Remembering quest.
