Welcome to this comprehensive quest guide for “Answering the Call” in Palia. This quest is a significant milestone in the game, serving as one of the last quests before progressing to the main story in Otherwood. Follow this step-by-step guide to complete all objectives and unlock the next chapter of your adventure.

Starting the Quest

To begin, you’ll need to complete the route in place first. Once you return to your plot, an animation will automatically trigger the “Answering the Call” quest. Head to your plot and speak to Einer to officially start the quest.

Quest Objectives Overview

After talking with Einer, you will receive two tasks to complete. One of these tasks is optional, while the main task is required to progress.

Optional Task

You have the option to head to Baharibay and visit the Night Sky Temple, or ask the Gardener from the Temple of Roots for more details. This task is entirely optional and won’t block your progress.

Main Task: Journey to Night Sky Temple

Your main objective is to head to the Night Sky Temple, which is located west of Kilma village on the map. Head there now to meet with Subira.

Exploring Night Sky Temple

First Meeting with Subira

Once you arrive at the entrance of Night Sky Temple, go inside and meet Subira. Start a conversation with her to progress the quest.

Moving Deeper Into the Temple

After the conversation, the quest will update. You’ll notice another pathway to the right. Continue straight ahead and follow Subira’s flag to meet her further inside the temple.

Collecting Records and Clues

The main objective of this quest involves finding and collecting records throughout the temple. Each record contains a character or symbol that you’ll need to remember for a password later. You’ll need to use your pickaxe to break through crack walls to access new areas.

Record Locations and Characters

Record 1 (From Subira’s right): Take note of the letter Q

Record 2 (To the left after breaking the wall): Take note of the letter S

Record 3 (After turning right and going left): Take note of the number 7

Record 4 (On the second floor from the bookshelves): Take note of the question mark ?

Navigating the Lower Levels

From the second floor, jump to the next platform. Go straight ahead and turn right. You’ll find a dead end with a breakable floor. Use your pickaxe to break it and go down.

Record 5 (In the room after breaking the wall to your left): Take note of the letter V

Exploring the Multi-Door Corridor

From this area, you’ll see three doors on the left and three doors on the right. Here’s what you’ll find in each:

First door (left and right): Contains nothing

Second door (left): Contains a treasure chest (optional)

Third door (left): Contains Record 6

Third door (right): Contains Record 7

Record 6 (Third door on the left): Take note of the percentage symbol %

Record 7 (Third door on the right): Take note of the letter J

Your complete collected sequence should now be: Q, S, 7, ?, V, %, J

Finding the Path Forward

To progress to the next area, enter the middle room (second room) on either side. Break the wall and then break the floor to continue. You’ll find another treasure chest behind a ladder. Follow the path upward by climbing the ladder, and you’ll find Subira waiting for you.

Accessing the Console

Speaking to Subira

Talk to Subira when you reach her. The quest will update and you’ll be instructed to inspect the console.

Entering the Password

Interact with the console to begin the login process. You’ll need to enter the password using the clues you collected. Enter them in this exact order:

Submit the password when ready.

Searching the Console Logs

Finding the First Clue

After successful login, exit the console. You’ll be tasked with finding two clues inside the console log. Interact with the console again and navigate to the User Logs menu.

The first clue is located in the User Logs. Scroll through the logs until you see yellow highlighted text, which indicates the clue. Take note of it.

Finding the Second Clue

Return to the menu and navigate to the Protocols section. Look for the “Mirror Protocol” entry and check the status tab. Continue scrolling until you find the second clue marked in yellow.

Once you’ve found both clues, exit the console.

Completing the Quest

After collecting both clues from the console, talk to Subira one final time. Present the clues you’ve found to her and proceed through the conversation.
