This guide walks you through the Extravagant Expectations quest in Palia. Follow these step-by-step instructions to complete the quest, including how to navigate conversations, disrupt Esher, and meet with Subira at the final location.

Starting the Quest with Esher

Begin by talking to Esher. When prompted, select “I’m ready for Subira’s party.” This will initiate the quest and allow you to join the party.

Your main objective is to find a way to disrupt Esher during the party, then leave. The quest will guide you through the necessary steps.

Meeting Subira at the Gazebo

Head to the gazebo where Subira is located. You’ll find her at the back of the party area.

Talk to Subira. When she greets you, respond naturally to her dialogue. Select the option “I’ll try any food” to continue the conversation.

The conversation outcomes will be the same regardless of minor dialogue variations, so don’t worry too much about perfect responses.

Disrupting Esher with a Proposal

Talk to Subira again and the quest will update. Your next objective is to disrupt Esher with a proposal. Select the option “I’ve got a humble request right here.”

Present the proposal: “I think we should renovate the town center because it will help generate income. And we can take out a loan.”

After presenting this proposal, the quest will update automatically.

Leaving the Party

Talk to Esher again and select “Yes, I’m ready to leave.” This will complete the party phase of the quest.

The quest will update once more, and you’ll receive instructions to meet Subira at the inn, which is located in Asher’s place.

Meeting Subira at the Inn

Make your way back to town and head to the tower. Take the stairs up to reach Subira’s room.

Once you reach the room, chat with Subira. Simply go along with the conversation naturally.

When prompted “What are you making?” respond with “Sure, chat with me.” This will complete the Extravagant Expectations quest.
