How to Build a Drill Rig in Wardogs

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the complete process of building and placing a drill rig in Wardogs. This essential structure requires specific progression levels and access to specialized tools, but once you understand the steps, you’ll be able to deploy drill rigs efficiently across your forward operating bases.

Progression Requirements

Before you can construct a drill rig, you need to ensure your support level is at level 8 or higher. This is a crucial prerequisite because the drill rig placement requires a large hammer, which is only available once you’ve reached this progression milestone.

Unlocking and Purchasing the Large Hammer

Once your support level reaches level 8, head to the gun vendor to unlock and purchase the large hammer. The item unlocks at 75,000 progression points, and the actual purchase cost is 2,500 currency units.

Placing Your Drill Rig

With your large hammer equipped, travel to your nearest forward operating base (FOB). Once there, right-click with your hammer and scroll through the available construction options. You’ll see the drill rig listed among the buildable structures.

Control Zone Placement

An important restriction to remember: you must place the drill rig within the control zone. Make sure you’re positioned near your FOB and within the designated control zone boundaries before attempting to place the structure. Once you’re in the correct location, you can deploy your drill rig and it will be ready for operation.

Summary

Building a drill rig in Wardogs is straightforward once you meet the requirements. Reach support level 8, purchase the large hammer from the gun vendor, navigate to your FOB, and place the drill rig within your control zone. With these steps complete, you’ll have successfully constructed your drill rig and can begin extracting resources.
