How to Plug the Haze in Grounded

How to Plug the Haze in Grounded

In Grounded, plugging the haze is an important progression step that removes the green gas from certain areas of the yard. However, be aware that this action triggers significant consequences—infected insects will spread throughout the yard and venture much farther than before. This guide walks you through the exact steps and location needed to complete this task.

Locating the Haze Hole

To begin, you’ll need to navigate to a specific board location in the yard. Head to the side of the board where you’ll find a series of rocks clustered together. Position your character between these rocks—this is your starting point for the climb.

The Climb to the Top

From the rocks, jump up and carefully traverse your way onto a nearby leaf. Once you’ve reached the leaf, follow the small stick that leads upward. Continue running along the hose structure as it extends higher into the air. The hose acts as your pathway to the top, where the haze hole will be clearly visible.

When you reach the top of the hose, you’ll spot an indent in the structure—this is the hole in the haze that needs to be plugged.

Plugging the Haze

To plug the hole, you’ll need to bring a gum nugget to this location. Once you arrive at the top with the gum nugget in your possession, approach the indent and use the item to seal the hole. This action will trigger a special event sequence.

The Consequences

After plugging the haze, be prepared for significant changes in Grounded’s ecosystem. An infected wolf spider will appear underneath the oak tree, and infected insects will begin wandering much farther throughout the yard than they did previously. The removal of the green gas gas comes at the cost of increased danger from hostile creatures spreading across your territory.

Summary

Plugging the haze in Grounded is a straightforward process: locate the board, navigate the rocks and leaf pathway, climb the hose structure to the top, and use a gum nugget to seal the indent. While this removes the environmental hazard, it unleashes infected creatures throughout the yard. Proceed with caution and ensure you’re prepared for the increased threat level before attempting this task.
