A Broken Sled Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

In this comprehensive quest guide, we’ll walk you through the Broken Sled quest with Christoph in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This quest involves retrieving Christoph’s sled from the ice, repairing it with crafted materials, and gathering samples to unlock access to his refined materials stall. Follow along step-by-step to complete this quest efficiently.

Starting the Quest with Christoph

Begin by speaking with Christoph, who will explain that his sled is stuck in the ice in the Frosted Heights. He’ll ask for your help to retrieve and repair it. Once you’ve spoken to him, it’s time to head to the Frosted Heights to locate the sled.

Retrieving the Sled from the Ice

Travel to the Frosted Heights and locate Christoph’s sled, which is trapped in the ice. To free it, equip your pickaxe and bash away at the ice surrounding the sled. Once you’ve cleared the ice, pick up the sled.

After collecting the sled, speak with Christoph again. He’ll mention that the sled is broken and needs repairs.

Finding the Repair Recipe

Head to Christoph’s house—which is actually his castle. Inside, look for the table where you’ll find the recipe book titled “How to Fix Your Sled from the Library.” Pick up this recipe to learn what materials you’ll need.

Required Materials for Sled Repair

To repair the sled, you’ll need to gather the following materials:

Thigh bust

Hardwood

Iron ingots

Tinkering parts

Crafting Tinkering Parts

If you don’t already have tinkering parts, you can craft them at your crafting station. Each tinkering part requires two iron ingots to create. For this quest, you’ll need to craft nine tinkering parts, which means you’ll need a total of six iron ingots dedicated to this task.

Remember that iron ingots are created from iron ore and coal at your crafting station.

Repairing the Sled

Once you’ve gathered all the required materials—thigh bust, hardwood, iron ingots, and tinkering parts—head to your crafting station in Vanity. Craft Christoph’s sled using these materials.

Delivering the Repaired Sled

After crafting the sled, return to Christoph in the Forest of Valor and give him the repaired sled.

Gathering Material Samples

Christoph will now ask you to gather samples of refined materials. You’ll need to collect the following items:

Fiber (crafted from seaweed)

Iron ingot (crafted from iron ore and coal)

Glass (crafted from sand and coal)

Brick (crafted from clay and coal)

Crafting Material Samples

Head to your crafting station to create each material sample:

Glass: Requires sand and coal

Iron ingot: Requires iron ore and coal

Brick: Requires clay and coal

Fiber: Crafted from seaweed

Completing the Quest

Return to Christoph with all four material samples: fiber, brick, glass, and iron ingot. Hand over these materials to complete the quest. As a reward, Christoph will give you a sled as well!

Unlocking Christoph’s Refined Materials Stall

Once the quest is complete, Christoph will set up a stall where he sells refined materials. Best of all, you’ll receive a permanent discount on all purchases from his stall. The materials available for purchase include:

Empty vials

Fabric

Clay

Coal

Softwood

Pebbles

This stall is an excellent resource for obtaining refined materials with your permanent discount, making future crafting projects much more efficient.

Summary

You’ve successfully completed the Broken Sled quest! You retrieved Christoph’s sled from the ice, repaired it using crafted materials, gathered samples of refined resources, and unlocked access to his exclusive stall with discounted refined materials. This quest opens up new crafting possibilities and provides a reliable source for essential materials throughout your Disney Dreamlight Valley adventure.
