Starting the Quest with Scrooge McDuck

Begin by talking to Scrooge McDuck to start “A Forgotten Combination” quest. Scrooge explains that he can’t unlock his safe because he’s forgotten the combination. He provides you with a note containing all the clues you’ll need to find his six-digit safe combination.

Understanding the Quest Clues

The quest note outlines three key clues you need to solve:

Ask Goofy about his favorite day

Take a bit of fresh air in the meadow and count the ponds

Count how many telescopes one wizard needs to count the stars

These three pieces of information will combine to form the six-digit combination.

Finding the Number of Ponds in the Meadow

Head to the meadow and look around. You’ll notice there are three ponds visible on the map. This gives us our second set of digits: 3. This number will be placed in the middle of our combination code.

Checking Merlin’s House for Telescopes

Travel to Merlin’s house in the meadow. When you enter, you’ll find there is exactly one telescope in the house. Since the clue asks “how many telescopes does one wizard need to count the stars,” the answer is one. This will be our final two digits: 01.

Asking Goofy About His Favorite Day

Find Goofy and ask him about his favorite day of the year. Goofy will respond that his favorite day is May 25th. Convert this to numerical format: 2505 (the 25th day of the 05th month).

Assembling the Complete Combination

Now that you have all three clues, combine them in order:

Goofy’s favorite day: 2505

Number of ponds in the meadow: 3

Number of telescopes in Merlin’s house: 01

The complete six-digit combination is: 250531

Returning to Scrooge and Entering the Combination

Head back to Scrooge McDuck and select “Complete A Forgotten Combination.” Scrooge will be delighted and ask you to help piece together the combination. Follow the prompts:

First clue (Goofy’s favorite day – May 25th): Enter 25 and 05

Second clue (ponds in the meadow): Enter 3

Third clue (telescopes in Merlin’s house): The answer is 1, not 2 or 7

Once you enter the correct combination, Scrooge will exclaim “Eureka! That’s my combination!”
