Navigating to the Bear Location

Starting Position and Initial Climb

Begin by heading south of Lazlia Glen. You’ll spot the mountain side on the left—this is your destination. Start climbing up the hillside.

Following the Wind Chimes

As you climb, you’ll notice wind chimes on a tree. Head toward them and continue upward. Wind chimes serve as visual markers throughout this quest, so keep following them as you progress up the hill.

Reaching the Waystone

Continue climbing until you reach the top of the hill. You’ll find a waystone here that marks an important checkpoint. The waystone leads deeper into the forest and up the hill. Keep moving upward.

The Forest Path and Cave Entrance

After passing the waystone, you’ll encounter more wind chimes. Turn left slightly—there’s a cave entrance here. Continue climbing up from this location.

Tracking the Bear

As you continue climbing, you’ll notice footprints in the soil. At first, these appear as human tracks. Keep following them up the path. Eventually, the tracks will change—they’ll transform into bear tracks, indicating you’re getting close to the boss encounter.

Once you follow the bear tracks to their end, the bear will appear. This is the boss you need to defeat to progress in the quest.

Combat Mechanics and Strategy

During the fight, note that certain weapons or abilities cannot be used against this enemy. Watch the bear’s health bar at the top of the screen—there are three segments visible. When the bear’s health reaches each segment threshold, it will launch an attack at you. Stay alert and dodge accordingly.

Death Mechanics

If you die during the fight, you’ll be respawned at the starting point of the encounter, allowing you to try again without losing significant progress.

Completing the Quest Objectives

Inspecting the Rock Carving

After defeating the bear, look for a carving on the rock face. Inspect this carving to progress. Note that inspecting it will cost you two chapters of time in the game.

Unlocking the Ravenous Flock Manual

Upon inspecting the rock carving, you will unlock the Ravenous Flock Manual. This action also unlocks the broader “Pilgrimage of Power” quest, which allows you to access and complete all the other pilgrimages available in the game.
