How to Build & Use The Cookery in Grounded
In Grounded, the Cookery is an essential structure for preparing meals to restore health and gain buffs. This guide will walk you through the exact materials needed to build a Cookery, where to find them, and how to unlock additional recipes to expand your culinary options.
Building Your First Cookery
To start building a Cookery, press B to open the building menu. Navigate to the middle section and select item number four—this is the Cookery building recipe.

Required Materials
You’ll need to gather the following materials to construct your Cookery:
1 Boiling Gland — Obtained from Bombardier Beetles
1 Acid Gland — Obtained from Larva
1 Clay — Found on the water surface
9 Weed Stems — Harvested from Dandelions or Husky Weeds

Using Your Cookery
Once your Cookery is built, you can immediately start crafting meals. The Cookery comes with a few basic recipes available for cooking.

Unlocking Additional Recipes
To expand your cooking options and unlock more meal recipes, visit the ASL Terminal and access the Science Shop. Here, you can purchase cookbooks specific to different areas. For example, you can buy a Pond Cookbook.

Once you’ve purchased a cookbook, return to your Cookery. You’ll notice that three additional recipes have been unlocked and are now available to prepare.
