How to Get Leaper Pulse Units in ARC Raiders
Leaper Pulse Units are valuable components in ARC Raiders that you can obtain by defeating and looting Leaper enemies. This guide walks you through the process of identifying Leapers, defeating them efficiently, and collecting their Pulse Units.
Understanding the Leaper Enemy
Leaper enemies are distinctive units that perform massive leaps across the battlefield. They will attempt to close the distance and attack you directly, so awareness of your positioning is essential. When engaged, Leapers will leap upward and attempt to eliminate you, making vertical awareness important during combat.

Recommended Weapons and Strategy
For tackling Leapers effectively, we recommend using a Hull Cracker weapon. The Hull Cracker is a very strong option due to its excellent armor penetration capabilities and comes equipped with launcher ammo, making it ideal for breaking through the Leaper’s defenses.

Positioning and Survival Tips
When a Leaper attacks, you can create distance by sliding out of the way. If you’re sheltered under structures like huts or buildings, you’ll find yourself relatively safe from their attacks. Leapers are comparatively less intelligent than other enemy types in ARC Raiders, which means they’re easier to manage in combat. After attacking, Leapers will retreat, giving you opportunities to counter and destroy sections of their armor.

Destroying and Looting the Leaper
Continue attacking the Leaper until it’s completely destroyed. Break off pieces of its armor by targeting different sections—don’t worry if environmental objects like lamp posts occasionally get in your way during combat.

How to Collect Leaper Pulse Units
Once the Leaper is defeated, you can begin looting it. Different parts of the enemy can be looted individually, and you’ll receive experience points (XP) for each part you loot. Search each section methodically to maximize your rewards.

As you loot each leg section and it becomes fully looted, that part will disappear from the enemy’s remains. You’re not guaranteed to receive Leaper Pulse Units from every part you loot, but persistence will reward you with the components you need.

Drop Rate Expectations
Unlike other enemy types such as Bastions and Bombardiers (which drop three to four pieces), Leapers typically yield only one Leaper Pulse Unit per enemy defeated. Plan your farming runs accordingly if you need multiple units for crafting or upgrades.

Summary
Obtaining Leaper Pulse Units in ARC Raiders is straightforward: locate a Leaper, equip your Hull Cracker or similar armor-penetrating weapon, use positioning and sliding to avoid attacks, destroy the enemy, and loot the remains carefully. Remember that you’ll only receive one unit per Leaper, so adjust your farming strategy based on how many units you need for your current objectives.
