How to Get Salty Weapons in Grounded
Salty weapons are a powerful weapon type in Grounded that deal salt damage regardless of upgrades. Whether you’re looking to craft your first salty weapon or enchant existing gear with salt properties, this guide covers all the methods you need to know to effectively farm and create salty weapons for your adventure.
Understanding Salty Weapons
Salty weapons in Grounded are distinguished by their ability to consistently deal salt damage no matter what upgrades you apply to them. The base salt weapon is the Salt Morning Star, which you can obtain early in your progression. All salty weapons share the same salt damage properties, making them a reliable choice for combat encounters where salt damage is beneficial.
Getting the Salty Morning Star
The Salty Morning Star recipe can be found in the Sandbox area. To obtain the weapon itself, you’ll need to unlock a melted moat chest located behind the main sandbox area. The key to unlock this chest is hidden on the map around the shadow of the shovel at coordinates approximately 3.34. Once you retrieve the key and unlock the chest, you’ll gain access to the Salty Morning Star.

Crafting Salty Arrows
Another accessible salty weapon option is salty arrows. These are straightforward to create—simply combine feather arrows with salt shards. Feather arrows themselves are easy to craft using crow feathers and silk rope. This makes salty arrows an excellent choice for ranged combat and a cost-effective way to apply salt damage from a distance.

Enchanting Weapons with Salt
The most versatile method for obtaining salty weapons is through enchantment. You can convert almost any weapon in Grounded into a salted weapon by using salt globs. To enchant a weapon, select it in your inventory and choose the salt enchantment option. You’ll need the appropriate number of salt globs based on the desired level—salty weapons can reach various levels such as level 6 salty, level 7 salty, and beyond.

Which Weapons Can Be Enchanted
Most weapons in Grounded can be enchanted with salt properties. However, some weapons with specific elemental properties cannot be enchanted this way. Notable exceptions include the Coltana and the Sour Battle X, which retain their unique elemental properties and cannot be converted to salty weapons.

Identifying Salty Weapons in Your Inventory
When you enchant a weapon with salt, you’ll notice a distinctive white icon appears next to the weapon name in your inventory. This salt symbol serves as a quick visual indicator that the weapon has been successfully enchanted with salt damage properties.

Summary
There are three primary ways to get salty weapons in Grounded: finding the Salty Morning Star in the Sandbox, crafting salty arrows with feathers and salt shards, or enchanting your existing weapons with salt globs. With these methods at your disposal, you can effectively build a salty weapon arsenal tailored to your playstyle and progression level.
