Unlocking Drill Mod 1 Through Research

Once in the catalog, locate the Small Printer section on the left side. Scroll down five items to find Drill Mod 1. Click the unlock button to research it. Be aware that unlocking Drill Mod 1 requires one Ceramic and sufficient research bytes.
