How to Unlock Calogero in Vampire Survivors

Prerequisites: Unlock Malice First

Before you can unlock Calogero, you need to have Malice already unlocked in your game. If you don’t have Malice yet, you’ll need to complete that unlock first as she’s a key component of this evolution chain.

Step 1: Evolve the Scarlet Needle

Once you have Malice unlocked, your next objective is to evolve her weapon, the Scarlet Needle. To do this, you need two items at maximum level:

Pomorola — must be at max level

Scarlet Needle — must be at max level

Make sure both of these items are fully leveled up before proceeding to the next step.

Step 2: Open a Treasure Chest to Trigger Evolution

After both the Pomorola and Scarlet Needle are at maximum level, open a treasure chest during gameplay. This will trigger the evolution of the Scarlet Needle into its evolved form: the Cardinal Reign.

Once the Scarlet Needle has evolved into the Cardinal Reign, you can quit your current run. Head to the character selection screen and you’ll see Calogero is now available as an unlockable character.
