How to Unlock Mushu in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Mushu is one of the more accessible characters to unlock in Disney Dreamlight Valley, requiring fewer prerequisites than many other characters. This guide walks you through the exact steps needed to add Mushu to your valley, including realm unlocking, quest completion, and the specific resources you’ll need.

Prerequisites: Unlocking Merlin First

Before you can unlock Mushu, you’ll need to have already unlocked Merlin in the Disney Dreamlight Valley. Merlin must be moved into your valley, and you’ll need to construct Merlin’s house at a cost of 20,000 gold.

Unlocking the Merlin Realm

Once Merlin is established in your valley, you can proceed to unlock the Merlin Realm. Head to the second floor of the Disney Dreamlight Castle.

You’ll see the Merlin Realm entrance located on the second floor. To unlock this realm, you’ll need to spend 15,000 Dream Light.

Completing Required Quests

After unlocking the Merlin Realm, you’ll need to complete the following quests in order to unlock Mushu:

1. Protecting the Camp Quest

This is the first quest you’ll encounter. As mentioned above, completing this requires that Merlin’s house has already been constructed in your valley for 20,000 gold.

2. Clearing the Road Quest

This is the second quest you’ll need to complete in the Merlin Realm.

Mushu Unlocked

Once you’ve completed both the “Protecting the Camp” and “Clearing the Road” quests, Mushu will be unlocked and can join your Disney Dreamlight Valley.
