Mythic Restoration Quest Guide: Disney Dreamlight Valley

Welcome to our complete guide for the Mythic Restoration Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley! This is Hades’ first friendship quest, and we’ll walk you through every step needed to complete it successfully. Whether you’re gathering resources or decorating Mifopia, this guide will help you finish the quest efficiently.

Gathering Initial Resources

To begin the Mythic Restoration Quest, you’ll need to collect three essential items from Mifopia. Mifopia is located anywhere on the right-hand side of Storybook Vale, accessible outside the ripples in the area.

You need to gather:

Crimson Eternal Poppies – Red poppies you’ll see growing naturally throughout Mifopia

Posidonia Plants – Found in the waters outside the ripples in Mifopia (these are quite rare, so patience is needed)

Gravel – Collected by using your shovel on the ground in Mifopia. A small area yields 2-3 pieces of gravel per use

The quest helpfully indicates which items you need and where to find them, making resource gathering straightforward.

Upgrading Your Royal Pickaxe

Once you’ve collected all three resources, return to Hades and give him the crimson eternal poppies, posidonia plants, and gravel. He will upgrade your royal pickaxe in exchange.

Cleaning Up Hades’ Domain

Catching Demon Snippets

Hades will ask you to help clean up his domain by catching demon snippets and removing fallen hunks of marble in Mifopia. The demon snippets are flying creatures you’ll see around the area. When you approach them, they zoom away, but you can catch them a second time for the capture to count. You need to catch 5 demon snippets total, and the animation is quite beautiful.

Removing Marble

With your upgraded pickaxe, you can now remove the fallen hunks of marble scattered throughout Hades’ domain. You need to remove 10 pieces of marble total. These are obvious chunks lying around the area and are easily destroyed with your upgraded tool.

Gathering Materials for Crafting

After cleaning up, return to Hades. He will now ask you to gather resources to craft statues of himself. You need to collect:

Marble – Obtained from removing the fallen marble chunks you just cleared

Golden Nuggets – Found by mining in Mifopia. You can also find gold in the Elysian Fields

Magma – A rare gem dropped when mining in Mifopia. This is luck-based, so be prepared to mine multiple times

The magma can take considerable time to obtain since it’s a rare drop from mining. If you haven’t unlocked additional mining areas beyond the small initial zone, mining for magma will require patience as you wait for ore to regenerate and hope for magma drops.

Crafting Hades Statues

Once you’ve gathered all necessary materials—marble, golden nuggets, and magma—head to your crafting bench. You’ll need to craft 4 statues of Hades to complete this portion of the quest.

Decorating Mifopia

Place the 4 Hades statues around Mifopia using your placement tool. This will increase Hades’ popularity in the area. You can arrange them however you like; just ensure they’re placed throughout the region.

Dressing in Camouflage Outfit

Hades next requests that you dress in rustic green and brown clothing for a special task. Open your wardrobe and select clothing items that match this color scheme. The specific outfit could include items like:

Rustic green clothing pieces

Brown clothing pieces (or items that complement brown)

Spying on Villagers at the Library

While wearing your camouflage outfit, go to the Library of Law and spy on various villagers as they meet to discuss Hades and his new statues. You’ll observe conversations between characters like Mickey and Remy as they chat about Hades and the statues you’ve placed.

Continue observing until all characters have had their conversations about Hades.

Fueling the Lightning Generator

After the villagers have discussed Hades, talk to the Lawkeeper (the book character at the top of the Library). They will instruct you to fuel the lightning generator in the east wing of the library using lightning spice.

The lightning generator is located in the bottom section of the east wing. Lightning spice grows naturally in the Elysian Fields. Interact with the generator and insert the lightning spice into it.

Final Meeting with Hades

After fueling the lightning generator, return to meet Hades at the generator location. Once you talk to him, the generator will activate (it may appear to explode), and the Mythic Restoration Quest will be complete!
