Welcome to this comprehensive guide for the Pieces of the Past quest in Palia. This quest follows the Elderwood Quest and tasks you with discovering information about a mysterious artifact you’ve found. Follow along as we walk you through every step, from gathering intel from NPCs to completing the quest objectives.

Starting the Quest: Talking to NPCs

After completing the Elderwood Quest, Nioh will give you the Pieces of the Past quest. Your objective is to ask around about the Umbranth artifact that you have found. Begin by talking to nearby NPCs to gather information.

Start by attempting to talk to Nioh and Zubira. You’ll quickly discover that these NPCs don’t have relevant dialogue options for this quest.

Traveling to Kalama Village

Head back to Kalama Village to continue your investigation. This is where you’ll find more NPCs who might have useful information about the artifact.

Once you arrive in Kalama Village, try talking to Sipo. As with the previous NPCs, you won’t have any quest-related dialogue options here. However, you can still chat with her to increase your friendship level.

Visiting the Library

Head to the library to find more potential sources of information. Look for NPCs like Kalari or Elvisa who might have knowledge about the artifact.

When you find Elvisa at the library, you’ll notice a Question Mark indicator above her head. Talk to her and mention that you found the artifact in the Elderwood. She will provide valuable information and your quest will update.

Quest Update: Meeting at Elderwood Central Stable

Your Pieces of the Past quest will now be updated with a new objective: meet the Expert with the Elderwood Central Stable. Head back to the Elderwood region to meet up with Elvisa and Kalari.

Travel back to the Central Stable of Elderwood and locate Elvisa and Kalari. Engage in conversation with both of them to progress the quest further.

Completing the Artifact: Collecting Pieces

After speaking with the ladies, your quest will update again with a new objective: complete an artifact by collecting all the pieces. Since you already have the Umbranth artifact piece, you can now visit the artifact location.

Press F5 to access the artifact location or navigate there manually. Once you arrive, interact with one of the ancient artifacts at the site.

Select the artifact and choose to donate or contribute your Umbranth piece to it. Upon completion of this action, you will receive Elvisa’s Fun Box as a reward.

Final Step: Inspecting the Relic Store

The quest will update one final time with the objective to inspect the Relic Store. Locate and interact with the Relic Store at your current location.
