Rocky Start Quest Guide in Palia

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the Rocky Start quest in Palia. This quest becomes available once you reach level 2 friendship with Hushan. Follow along as we help you complete all the necessary tasks and resolve the tension with Hushan by gathering support from the community around Kilima Village.

Starting the Quest: Talk to Hushan

Begin by talking to Hushan when you’ve reached level 2 friendship with him. During the conversation, you’ll discover that Hushan is annoyed with you. Chat with him to understand the situation, and the quest will update.

Finding Three People to Help Around Kilima

The main objective of this quest is to find 3 people who are willing to help out around Kilima Village. You’ll need to complete sub-quests for each of them. Let’s break down each step:

Step 1: Visit Zac’s General Store

Head to Zac’s general store and talk to Zac. He will offer you a sub-quest called “Shop Support.” To complete this sub-quest, you need to purchase an item from his store. We recommend buying a carrot seed or sugar, as these items will be useful for the next NPCs you’ll encounter.

Open the store and select an item to purchase. For this guide, we’ll buy a carrot seed.

After purchasing the item, talk to Zac again to complete the “Shop Support” sub-quest. You now have 1 out of 3 people to help.

Step 2: Help Ony with Something Sweet

Next, find Ony in Kilima Village and talk to him. Press F to interact with him. Ony will offer you a sub-quest called “Something Sweet,” which requires you to provide him with either sugar or sweet leaf (which can be collected from Henry the Blacksmith).

If you purchased sugar from Zac’s store, give it to Ony to complete this sub-quest. You now have 2 out of 3 people to help.

Step 3: Help Shane Deliver Carrot Seeds to Buddhru

Find Shane in Kilima Village and talk to him. Ask if he needs any help. Shane will offer you a sub-quest called “Carrot Care,” which requires you to deliver a packet of carrot seeds to Buddhru.

Since you already purchased carrot seeds from Zac’s store, you should have this item ready. Locate Buddhru in his room and give him the carrot seeds to complete the sub-quest.

You now have all 3 people to help. You’ve completed 3 out of 3.

Heading Home and Completing the Quest

After helping all three NPCs, the quest will update and ask you to “head home after a long day of good deeds.” Use the fast travel feature to return to your plot.

Once you arrive home, you’ll find Hushan waiting for you. Talk to him to resolve the conflict and complete the Rocky Start quest.
