This comprehensive guide walks you through the Sableye in the Cemetery quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Follow these step-by-step instructions to locate Sableye, battle it, retrieve the cherished ring, and complete the quest by returning the item to its rightful owner.

Entering the Cemetery

Start by entering the cemetery in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Once inside, you’ll see an icon on your screen that indicates the direction you need to go. Head towards this marker.

Move forward cautiously, being mindful of the other Pokemon roaming the area. Don’t worry though — they will leave you alone as long as you keep running. Continue until you emerge at a small crop of land.

Finding and Investigating Sableye

Once you reach the designated area, press A to investigate. You’ll discover that Sableye is holding the ring you’ve been searching for. A battle will now commence.

Battle Strategy: Using Chikareta

The best Pokemon to use for this battle is Chikareta, especially if you chose it as your starter Pokemon. Sableye is only weak to Fairy-type Pokemon, and Chikareta has the move Disarming Voice, which deals super-effective damage to Sableye.

If you didn’t choose Chikareta as your starter, consider using any other Fairy-type Pokemon you may have in your team. While this battle isn’t particularly difficult regardless, using a Fairy-type will make the battle significantly easier.

Catching or Battling Sableye

Feed the Pokemon to weaken it, then throw a Pokeball to attempt a capture. Sableye will then run away from battle.

Obtaining the Cherished Ring

After Sableye flees, a pop-up notification will appear informing you that it left behind the ring. You will now obtain the Cherished Ring.

Returning the Ring to Complete the Quest

With the Cherished Ring in your possession, you need to return to the cemetery entrance where you first entered. Run back through the cemetery to reach this location.

Once you arrive at the entrance, hand the ring back to the old lady who lost it. This will complete the Sableye in the Cemetery quest.
