Quest Overview

Finding the EMP Trap

Start by heading to the Dan Battlegrounds and navigating to the Victory Ridge area, which is located up in the northern section of the map. Once there, make your way to the cross-roading looking area. You’ll find the EMP trap positioned just in front of this location, situated down beneath the road. On your map, it will appear in this general vicinity. Your first step is to investigate the EMP trap.

Disabling the Power Switches

First Power Switch

After investigating the EMP trap, locate the first power switch on the hill directly above your current position. Turn around from the EMP trap area and look upward. The switch will be visible above you. Head up the hill and disable the first switch.

Second Power Switch

The second power switch is located inside a building in the nearby area. To reach it, climb up the terrain carefully. You’ll need to jump over certain obstacles to access the building. Once inside, you’ll find the switch ready to be disabled.

Third Power Switch

The third and final power switch is situated in the woods directly ahead of your current position. Look for a distinctive cut-down tree as a landmark. The hydroponics facility will be visible in the background to help orient yourself. Navigate to this location among the buildings and terrain, and disable the third switch.

Completing the Quest

Once you’ve successfully disabled all three power switches, make your way back to the original EMP trap location. With all switches now deactivated, you’ll be able to shut down the EMP trap. Simply interact with it to turn it off. The quest objective “Straight Record” will now be marked as complete.
