A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Welcome to this comprehensive quest guide for “A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space,” the first quest you’ll encounter after unlocking the store on the first floor of the Toy Story Realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This guide will walk you through every step of the mission, from collecting batteries to placing Buzz’s RV in your valley.

Accessing the Toy Story Realm Store

Begin by heading to the first floor of the Toy Story Realm and entering the store. You’ll find yourself in a nostalgic space that recreates the iconic toy room from the Toy Story films—perfect for fans who remember the classic Toy Story PC games from their childhood.

Step 1: Talk to Buzz Lightyear

Your first objective is to locate and speak with Buzz Lightyear. Head up the nearby stairs, using the toy blocks as your path to reach Buzz’s location at the top of the room.

Collect AA Batteries

Buzz’s batteries are running low, and you’ll need to search the room for two AA batteries to help him out. Keep your eyes open—these items blend in with the environment.

Battery #1: Located on the floor in the main area. Look carefully and you’ll spot it lying around.

Battery #2: Found near the climbing frame. Using the ramp as a reference point, turn around and look behind the climbing frame structure. You’ll find this battery under some books near the toy oven.

Once you’ve collected both batteries, return to Buzz and give them to him.

Step 2: Find Race Car Track Pieces

After receiving the batteries, Buzz will tell you he’s been knocked out the window and needs a race car. Your next task is to find 10 pieces of race car track scattered throughout the room. These pieces resemble small wooden track segments.

Track Piece #1: Just outside the closet doors.

Track Piece #2: Next to the bed, near the closet.

Track Piece #3: Inside the closet itself.

Track Piece #4: Located where you entered the room.

Track Piece #5: Near the location where you found the second battery.

Track Piece #6: Directly underneath the big flower where Buzz is standing.

Track Piece #7: Just above your head when facing Buzz from the flower area.

Track Piece #8: Another piece above your head in the same vicinity.

Track Piece #9: On the opposite side of the room from the closet, on the side where the bed is located.

Track Piece #10: Another piece on the same side as the flower base where Buzz stands.

Collect all 10 pieces and bring them back to Buzz. You can use the slide for a quicker route back to him.

Step 3: Gather Magic Growing Cactuses

Buzz now needs you to gather five magic growing cactuses that are scattered around the room. These will serve as boosters for the race track.

Cactus #1: Located at the bottom of the stairs.

Cactus #2: Near the pink drawing on the wall, positioned just underneath it.

Cactus #3: A blue cactus—note the color variation.

Cactus #4: A green cactus located where you found the last pieces of racing track, next to the Easter egg book near Buzz’s platform.

Cactus #5: Found in the closet. This is the final cactus needed for this objective.

Place Cactuses on the Track

Now you’ll place these magic cactuses on the race car tracks as boosters. Position them as follows:

Location #1: On the racetrack right outside the closet.

Location #2: Near the entrance.

Locations #3 & #4: Two cactuses go near the slide.

Location #5: The final cactus also goes near the entrance area.

Water the Cactuses

Once placed, you’ll need to water the cactuses on the tracks. Walk over to each track section and watch as it lights up beautifully. This is one of the more visually satisfying moments in the quest. You’ll only need to water three of them to complete this objective.

After watering the cactuses, return to Buzz to report your progress.

Step 4: Meet Woody

Head over to the toy oven area where you’ll see a ladder. Go down the steps and approach the ladder near the toy oven. Climb it up.

Woody will have arrived through the window. To reach him, climb up to the main ledge where Buzz was standing, then use the small ramp to get onto the bed. Walk across the bed to reach Woody.

Talk to Woody to continue the quest.

Step 5: Photograph Bonnie’s Drawings

After meeting Woody, return to Buzz. Your next objective is to search the room and photograph Bonnie’s colored construction paper drawings with gold stars. You’ll need to find and photograph four drawings using your camera.

Drawing #1: Located beneath where Buzz and Woody are standing on the platform.

Equip your camera and take a picture of this drawing.

Drawing #2: The pink elephant on the ball—the one you may have noticed earlier in the quest.

Drawing #3: Found inside the closet. Be careful not to equip tools unintentionally.

Drawing #4: Located under the drawer area on the right side of the bed, near the curtains.

Photograph this final drawing to complete the collection.

Report back to Buzz with your photographic findings.

Step 6: Place Buzz’s RV in Dreamlight Valley

The final step involves leaving the Toy Story Realm and placing Buzz’s RV in the main Dreamlight Valley area. Exit the realm and leave Dreamlight Castle entirely.

Open your inventory and navigate to Furniture, then Requests, and select Buzz’s RV.

The RV is quite small—remember, Buzz is a toy—but you can place it anywhere you like in your valley. Choose a suitable location (such as the plaza area) and place it.

Use Scrooge’s construction sign to build and finalize Buzz’s RV placement.

Once constructed, talk to Buzz again to welcome him to the village and complete the quest.
