This quest automatically unlocks as soon as you access the Fiery Plains zone in Mifopia after clearing the ink blockage. Follow this step-by-step guide to complete the quest and unlock the next chapter of the story.

Quest Overview

This quest features Hades as your main quest-giver and becomes available immediately upon discovering the Fiery Plains zone in Mifopia. The quest will require exploration, collection, puzzle-solving, and crafting before you can complete it.

Step 1: Locate the Mysterious Flames

Begin by heading into the Fiery Plains zone. Navigate to the small grove area on the right-hand side of the zone. You’ll need to cross a small river and venture into the grove where you’ll discover mysterious flames blocking your path.

Take a picture of these mysterious flames using your in-game camera.

Step 2: Speak with Hades

Find Hades and show him the picture you took of the mysterious flames. Select the “Moth To A Flame” quest option when you interact with him.

Step 3: Consult the Lorkeeper

After speaking with Hades, visit the Lorkeeper to learn more about the quest objectives. The Lorkeeper will inform you about a story related to the Sacred Springs location that needs to be restored through collecting story snippets.

Step 4: Collect Story Snippets

You’ll need to collect four types of story snippets to restore the Sacred Springs tale:

Blue demon snippets

Pink demon snippets

Red bird snippets

The demon snippets (both blue and pink) are found throughout Mifopia. The blue demon snippets require multiple catches to gather enough. The red bird snippets can also be found in the Lorkeeper area.

Note: Blue snippets may require more patience and multiple attempts to collect sufficient quantities.

Step 5: Restore the Lorkeeper’s Pages Puzzle

Return to the Lorkeeper’s library with your collected snippets. You’ll need to complete a puzzle by placing the snippets on the Lorkeeper’s pages to restore the Aurora and Sacred Spring tale.

A helpful strategy is to start with the corner pieces first, as there are only four corners and this makes the remaining placement easier. Place the large yellow piece with the pink element in the bottom left-hand corner to begin.

Continue placing pieces systematically until the puzzle is complete. The final image should reveal a watering can, which is the next quest objective.

Step 6: Find the Sacred Spring

The quest will now direct you to find the Sacred Spring hidden in the storybook veil using clues from Aurora’s story. Travel to the Elysian Fields area.

Head to the left side of the large pool in Elysian Fields where you’ll find pink bushes. Interact with these bushes and they will magically disappear, revealing the golden Sacred Spring beneath.

Interact with the golden pool to find and pick up a vial of sacred water that’s waiting for you.

Step 7: Return to Hades

Go back to Hades and select the “Moth To A Flame” option again. He will now request that you gather three specific items to craft a watering can potion.

Step 8: Gather Required Ingredients

You’ll need to collect the following items:

Crimson Eternal Poppies: Found growing in the Elysian Fields. These distinctive red flowers can be spotted throughout the area.

Magma: Obtained by mining in the Elysian Fields area.

Hippocampuses: Fished from white ripple fishing spots in the Elysian Fields, particularly in the river areas. These appear as small seahorse-like creatures.

Important Fishing Tip: Do not use fishing bait when attempting to catch hippocampuses, as it will interfere with your ability to catch them. Simply fish the white ripple spots naturally.

Step 9: Craft the Watering Can Potion

Once you’ve gathered all three ingredients, head to your crafting bench. Navigate to the Potions menu and select “Watering Can Potion.” Craft the potion.

After crafting, open your inventory and use the watering can potion.

Step 10: Activate the Mystic Trial

The final step requires you to reach the Mystic Trial in the Fiery Plains and use your royal net to activate it. Travel back to the Fiery Plains zone where you initially found the mysterious flames.

As you make your way to the trial, you may notice volcanic rock deposits near the trial area. If you previously encountered a chest in this location during an earlier Hades quest that you couldn’t access, you should now be able to retrieve it.
