All Crate Locations for Alternate Reality Research Institute in Once Human

In this guide, we’ll walk you through every crate location in the Alternate Reality Research Institute, located on the far right side of RedSans at level 49. This facility contains valuable loot including two gear crates, one mystical crate, and two weapon crates. Follow along as we navigate through each area and show you exactly where to find every crate.

Overview of Crates Available

The Alternate Reality Research Institute contains a total of five crates across multiple levels:

2 Gear Crates

1 Mystical Crate

2 Weapon Crates

Entering the Institute

Start by entering through the top entrance of the facility. Head into the main building and proceed upward toward the central structure.

First Gear Crate: Main Lobby Upper Level

Once inside, navigate to the main lobby of the Rosetta Research Institute. From the main lobby, take a right and head up the additional stairs to reach the upper level.

Inside the upper level building, you’ll encounter guards, but you can walk straight forward past them. Your first gear crate is located directly ahead in this area.

Second Gear Crate and First Weapon Crate: The Helipad Building

To reach the other crates, return to the balcony and glide over toward the helipad building. Run up the stairs and navigate through the building structure, similar to your initial approach.

Once you reach the helipad building, run up the first set of stairs. Take an immediate left and ascend the second pair of stairs you’ll find there.

Continue ascending through the staircase that leads to the upper levels. Keep running up the stairs—there are multiple levels to climb, so continue until you reach the top floor.

Once at the top level, you can eliminate the guards from above for an easier approach. The gear crate is located at the helipad on the top floor.

Third Gear Crate, Weapon Crate, and Mystical Crate: The Lab Area

To access the lab area, descend from the top floor and locate the balcony. You can jump down and glide into the laboratory section of the building.

Alternatively, look for the extra staircase accessible from the top floor. From the balcony, you can jump and glide directly into the lab area.

Inside the lab, you’ll find another gear crate along with the mystical crate. You can access this area by walking around the front—no key card is required.

At the front entrance of the lab, you’ll discover a weapon crate and the mystical crate together.

As a bonus, if you continue through to the back of the lab area, you’ll also encounter a lightning orb deviant.
